The IAA International Commercial Vehicle Show in Hannover, Germany, is a globally renowned event where commercial vehicle companies showcase their most advanced products and technologies. Shaanxi Automobile, representing China, has brought its strongest lineup of vehicles to this prestigious event.
Now, the editor of Tie Jia is reporting live from the IAA in Hannover. In this article, let’s take a closer look at the highlights of the heavy-duty trucks Shaanxi has exhibited.

840 Horsepower! The Highest Power Truck of the Show:

The highlight of the exhibition is undoubtedly the 840-horsepower Shaanxi Delong X6000 tractor. Positioned in the center of the booth, its striking appearance and the bold “840HP” marking on the ground have drawn crowds of international visitors.
The Shaanxi Delong X6000 840-horsepower tractor features a brand-new shiny gold kit, complete with strobe lights and high-beam lights, giving it a European-style appearance. Additionally, the vehicle has been upgraded with electronic rearview mirrors, showcasing a trendy and modern touch.
In terms of the engine, it is powered by the Weichai WP17H turbocharged inline-six diesel engine, producing a maximum horsepower of 840 and a torque of 3750 N.m. Paired with a Fast 16-speed intelligent AMT automatic transmission and a Hande H-series high-efficiency axle, this combination strikes a perfect balance between power and fuel efficiency.
Dominating the Natural Gas Segment with 630 Horsepower Technology Leadership:

Among the many companies showcasing new LNG models at the IAA, the highest-powered offering is the Shaanxi Delong X6000 LNG tractor.
The Delong X6000 LNG tractor follows European standards, with a 4X2 drive configuration. The gas tanks are positioned on both sides of the chassis, with a combination of 600L and 450L tanks, totaling 1050L and offering a range of up to 1300 kilometers.
The powertrain has been fully upgraded, featuring the Weichai WP15NG 4.0 version natural gas engine. With a 15-liter displacement, the engine produces up to 630 horsepower, matching the power levels of diesel engines. It is paired with a ZF 12-speed automatic transmission, delivering reliable performance and showcasing Shaanxi’s extensive powertrain capabilities.
Supports L4-Level Autonomous Driving and Hybrid System:

The Shaanxi Delong X6000 HYBRID is arguably the most advanced vehicle at the show, equipped with both a hybrid system and L4-level autonomous driving capabilities.
In terms of the hybrid system, the Delong X6000 features a Weichai WP13H series 560-horsepower engine, combined with Fast’s Blue Whale F12HA280-2 hybrid system. The hybrid system consists of a 12-speed integrated AMT and a high-power-density flat wire motor. It incorporates new-generation shifting and clutch mechanisms and supports multiple functions, including mode selection, electric power management, engine start/stop, driving and parking charging, and fault diagnosis.
Thanks to the redundant wire-controlled chassis, the Delong X6000 also supports S-Pilot L4-level autonomous driving technology. This system can cover all scenarios from on-ramps to highways and back to off-ramps. With one click, the intelligent driving system is activated, allowing the vehicle to plan routes, autonomously change lanes, control cruise, form platoons, and even enable remote dispatching, all while ensuring driving safety and improving efficiency.
70Mpa Hydrogen Storage Platform with 2580L Capacity and 520kw Dual Motors:

Hydrogen, as a clean fuel, is becoming a development focus for many manufacturers. However, the Shaanxi Delong X6000E hydrogen fuel cell tractor is still the most impressive, offering the longest range and highest power at the show.
As a heavy-duty truck, the Delong X6000E features a more advanced 70Mpa hydrogen storage system, with six tanks—four with a 450L capacity and two with a 390L capacity—totaling 2580L. The fuel cell system, located beneath the cab, produces a rated power of 300kw, paired with a 58.73 kWh power battery, achieving a range of over 1000 kilometers.
Because it uses a 6X4 chassis configuration, the Delong X6000E employs dual electric drive axles from Hande, with each axle delivering up to 260kw, bringing the combined output to 520kw. The truck’s maximum wheel torque reaches an astounding 38,000 N.m.
New Low-Entry Cab with Pure Electric Chassis for Special Conditions:

Low-entry cabs are often used in special conditions, such as for sanitation, drainage, and municipal work, where frequent getting in and out of the vehicle is required. These cabs are quite popular in Europe, and now Shaanxi has mastered this technology with its all-new low-entry pure electric heavy-duty truck—the L6000E.
The low-entry cab’s convenience is particularly notable, with a single-step entry height of 470mm and a step width of 650mm. The interior features a flat floor and flip-up seats, reducing the effort needed to enter and exit by over 50% compared to traditional cabs.
In these operating conditions, where vehicles typically run at low speeds, a fuel engine would operate inefficiently. However, the pure electric chassis resolves this issue, saving fuel costs and improving smoothness during low-speed operation. Additionally, the centrally placed battery pack provides ample space on both sides of the chassis for vehicle modifications, offering multiple advantages.
Final Remarks:
Shaanxi Heavy-Duty Trucks’ appearance at the IAA Transportation Exhibition in Hannover has truly been a global event. Each of the models showcased is top-tier, offering the highest horsepower across diesel, natural gas, and hydrogen fuel forms. The advanced concepts of low-entry design, hybrid systems, and autonomous driving have impressed international visitors, earning not only praise for Shaanxi’s products but also recognition of China’s heavy industry prowess!
