On March 6, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. held a cadre conference. Yang Qing, Chairman and Party Secretary of Dongfeng Motor Corporation (referred to as Dongfeng Corporation), attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. Zhou Xianpeng, Assistant General Manager of Dongfeng Corporation and Chairman of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., also attended and presided over the meeting. Members of the Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle leadership team, executives from functional departments, and key officials from factories/subsidiaries participated in the conference.
Zheng Hongyi, Head of the Organization Department of Dongfeng Corporation’s Party Committee, announced the decision regarding the adjustment of the leadership team of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.: Zheng Hua was appointed as the Party Secretary of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., no longer holding the position of Assistant General Manager; Liu Licheng was appointed as the Deputy Party Secretary of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., and the candidate for Chairman of the Labor Union, no longer serving as Assistant General Manager. Zheng Hua and Liu Licheng were recommended to concurrently hold the position of Vice General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., subject to appointment by the board of directors. Chen Xiangyang no longer held the positions of Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., with other appointments to be made. Appointments and dismissals of related positions would be handled according to relevant regulations.
Yang Qing expressed high expectations for the future work of the new leadership team of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle. He emphasized the need to correctly assess the current situation of the commercial vehicle industry, recognizing the current competition as a “life-and-death struggle.” He urged continuous improvement in the awareness of survival and competition, accelerating the pace of enterprise reform and innovation. Yang Qing emphasized that the Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle leadership team should have a strong sense of mission and responsibility, leading cadres and employees to forge ahead, shoulder the important mission and political responsibility assigned by the group. The team should focus on the main contradictions and aspects of development, formulate practical work plans, pass down the goal pressure, use the PM system as a lever, enhance overall competitiveness, further strengthen basic management, and solidify the foundation for transformation and development.
Zhou Xianpeng demanded that the new leadership team of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the group’s party committee and the spirit of Chairman Yang Qing’s speech. They should be bold, shoulder responsibilities, accelerate adjustments, fully inspire the confidence of cadres and employees, and continuously create a new situation in the development of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, striving for the rapid construction of an outstanding Dongfeng and a world-class enterprise.
Zhang Xiaofan, General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, spoke on behalf of the new leadership team. He stated that the leadership team of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle would resolutely implement the “Transformation and Development of Dongfeng Executive Action Code,” with an uplifting attitude of “striving for the first and being a national team.” They would firmly implement the decision and deployment of Dongfeng Corporation and the various task requirements proposed by Chairman Yang Qing, aiming for new achievements in realizing the blueprint and creating a new vision for the commercial vehicle business group of the corporation. During the meeting, Chen Xiangyang, Zheng Hua, and Liu Licheng each made statements.
