Guided by its strategy, Foton Motor is leading the way with its brand initiatives. At the launch, Gong Haidong, Vice President and Spokesperson of Foton Motor, shared the “Foton View’s New Story.” He emphasized that, driven by the scale development strategy, Foton is seizing opportunities in the internationalization, electrification, and intelligence of commercial vehicles, striving to fully implement its strategic measures. The company aims to achieve an annual sales volume of 1 million units by 2028, driving growth across all product categories.

As a core component of its million-unit sales target, the VAN business will be pivotal for growth and volume support. Foton plans to comprehensively expand its VAN business system with full-scenario coverage across cargo, passenger, and specialty vehicles. Leveraging the dual drivers of the Toano and View brands, the company aims for a global sales target of 180,000 units by 2028. Toano will focus on the large VAN segment, emphasizing heavy-duty platforms, while the View brand will target the mid-VAN segment, with the K1 platform dedicated to heavy-load applications and the K2 platform catering to standard-load, large-space scenarios with a technology-forward pure electric platform.

With a 25-year legacy, the Foton View brand has played a crucial role in the development of China’s VAN market. Spanning four generations, it has evolved from meeting passenger transportation needs to defining the urban multi-functional commercial vehicle segment. With its latest fourth-generation platform, the brand now focuses on the new energy mid-VAN and green freight markets, showcasing Foton Motor’s continuous technological progress and deep commitment to its business.
The fourth-generation platform, designed to meet changing customer needs in urban logistics and transportation, represents a leap forward. This platform, developed from the ground up for pure electric mid-VANs, not only strengthens the advantages of the View brand but also supports Foton’s strategic VAN business goals, targeting a 30% market share in the mid-VAN segment by 2025.

New Platform Leads the Way, New View Sets a New Benchmark
In the era of new energy, product capability remains paramount. At the event, Foton Motor unveiled the View i, an all-new pure electric mid-VAN developed over three years with an investment exceeding ¥1 billion. Featuring an innovative platform architecture, outstanding performance, and smart comfort, it establishes a new benchmark for mid-range VANs.
Zhang Hongliang, President of the Foton Toano New Energy Division, explained that the View i series was designed specifically for the new energy era. Utilizing skateboard chassis technology, the platform integrates modular design with advanced functionality, safety, and intelligence, offering versatile solutions that drive the VAN industry toward higher technical standards.

The platform incorporates Foton’s proprietary FEEP (Foton Electronics & Electrical Platform), delivering seamless integration and upgradability. For the first time, the platform introduces cross-domain “VICU” technology, combining vehicle control (VCU), body domain control (BCM), and thermal management (TMS) into a centralized system. This enables precise energy control, intelligent driver assistance, and enhanced vehicle safety and comfort.

The View i series boasts a sleek, minimalist industrial design with seamless A-pillar integration and a streamlined side profile. It offers best-in-class cargo space, with a cargo volume 1.1 cubic meters larger than competitors in the same vehicle length. Equipped with high-performance batteries, efficient electric drives, and advanced energy recovery, it achieves a maximum range of 460+ km, 1.2 km per kWh higher than comparable models. Fast charging technology enables an 18-minute recharge from 20% to 80%.

Beyond superior products, Foton Motor offers comprehensive green smart logistics solutions, including financial services, insurance, battery leasing, and vehicle recycling. At the launch, the “VAN IoT Ecosystem Development Alliance” was also established, aiming to promote sustainable logistics through collaboration.
To celebrate the launch, the starting price for the View i7 was announced at ¥79,800, with pre-order benefits available until December 31, including:
