On April 8, 2025, FOTON marked a historic milestone in São Paulo as the first locally manufactured ALL NEW AUMARK light truck rolled off its production line. This event, part of the FOTON LATAM PARTNERS CONFERENCE 2025 themed “Together Win Future,” not only represents a breakthrough in FOTON’s Latin American strategy but also celebrates the global production of its 12,000,000th vehicle. The milestone underscores FOTON’s commitment to an open, win-win industrial ecosystem and its rapid internationalization.

IN BRAZIL, FOR BRAZIL
Following the successful launch of its Thailand facility in November 2024—which achieved the 1,000,000th export vehicle milestone—FOTON now takes a major step in Latin America. The Brazil factory, developed jointly with local partner AGRALE, is the first Chinese commercial vehicle production line established in Brazil. Covering 197,000 square meters, the facility is designed with an annual production capacity of 5,000 units, with an initial phase targeting 2,000 units. It currently produces medium and light trucks, with plans to expand into heavy trucks and pickups in the future.

Driven by strong demand for efficient logistics and new energy commercial vehicles in Brazil, FOTON has rapidly gained market traction. In Q1 2025, FOTON Brazil recorded sales exceeding 500 units—a year-on-year increase of 180%. The new factory not only serves as a bridgehead for FOTON’s deep-rooted Latin American strategy but also epitomizes its global industrial chain collaboration. By converting its localized capabilities into international competitiveness, FOTON is poised to lead the transformation and upgrade of the global commercial vehicle industry.

Global Integration: Building a 24-Hour Service Ecosystem
Behind the 12 million vehicles lies FOTON’s resilient global network, built upon an extensive industrial chain. FOTON has established 22 KD plants worldwide, over 1,000 distribution centers and 1,200 service outlets. Additionally, FOTON has set up 18 regional and national spare parts centers to effectively meet the parts reserve and allocation needs in markets such as Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia Pacific, forming an integrated “stock-allocation-service” system. From localized manufacturing to a global parts network, Foton is dedicated to creating a “24-hour service ecosystem” that delivers zero time lag, forging a solid foundation of trust with customers worldwide.

Ecosystem Reconfiguration: Igniting Global Industrial Momentum
Since 2004, FOTON has cumulatively exported over 1 million vehicles and has maintained its position as China’s leading commercial vehicle exporter for 14 consecutive years, with products sold in 130 countries worldwide. FOTON adheres to a dual-strategy of “ICE+BEV”, and through joint ventures with global commercial vehicle component leaders such as Cummins and ZF, has established a competitive “SuperPowerTrain” core powertrain across the globe—achieving significant breakthroughs in its core truck business in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

At the event, FOTON unveiled a new chapter in its Americas strategy with a global perspective, FOTON introducing its groundbreaking “Super Power Alliance”. By integrating cutting-edge global technology resources and forming strategic partnerships with international leaders such as CATL, TELD, Cummins, and ZF, FOTON is committed to delivering greener, more efficient, and more reliable transportation solutions.

This initiative marks a strategic upgrade for FOTON—from isolated technological breakthroughs to ecosystem-level collaboration. Leveraging the localized strengths of alliance members, FOTON aims to help build a clean energy transportation system across the Latin American market, offering comprehensive solutions for customers in Brazil and beyond—from new energy vehicles and intelligent charging systems to core power technology and smart services.
Strategic Leap: Ushering in a New Paradigm for Technology Export
Amid the global push for decarbonization, FOTON has independently developed and mastered its “Three-electric” core technologies, enabling multiple new energy routes—pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell—that span its entire range of commercial vehicles. Its pure electric light trucks, vans, and buses have received WVTA EU whole vehicle certification, with its new energy products now marketed in 45 countries and regions worldwide, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.

FOTON has transitioned from the fiercely competitive Chinese market to the global stage, committed to providing solutions for the energy revolution. With a focus on “new energy plus intelligent connectivity” and a flexible approach—electrify when appropriate, use hydrogen when suitable, and adopt hybrid solutions when necessary—FOTON is pursuing multiple technological routes to create leading green, low-carbon, and intelligent products. These innovations empower partners across both the vehicle and energy supplementation segments, offering comprehensive, integrated solutions to customers.

Empowering the world through innovation and shaping the future with ecosystem synergy—FOTON’s 12 millionth vehicle is not just a milestone, but a bold new beginning. Backed by its intelligent manufacturing system, FOTON is committed to enhancing local production standards through technology export. By breaking market boundaries with innovation, reshaping global competition through ecosystem alliances, and earning trust through deep localization, FOTON is driving a new era of win-win cooperation. In the tide of “FOTON Intelligent Manufacturing” going global, a new and more visionary chapter in FOTON’s globalization journey is unfolding.
