On April 24th, the launch ceremony of Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Duty Trucks’ fully independent new energy brand “Zhihui” under Weichai Power was held at the Weichai (Yantai) New Energy Industrial Park. The heavy-duty trucks of this brand are equipped with the golden power system of “Weichai new energy battery + Fast AMT transmission + Hande electric drive axle”, and it is a domestic charging heavy-duty truck brand with completely independent three-electric software and hardware. The vehicle’s performance indicators such as economy, reliability, and safety lead the industry. At the launch event, Weichai Power, Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Duty Trucks, and a major strategic customer in Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 1,000 vehicles and delivered the first batch of vehicles to customers in Xuchang.

The connotation of the newly launched brand “Zhihui” is “Wisdom encompasses all things, and the sea converges all rivers”, which are respectively taken from the “Book of Changes” and the “Book of Documents”. The former reflects the breadth and depth of wisdom, and the latter symbolizes the concept of technological innovation that is open, inclusive, and comprehensive. It implies that Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Duty Trucks can achieve the true integration of all vehicle components through technological interconnection and data intercommunication, providing high-quality products and services to the market and customers.
It is understood that the new brand has three major series – Zhihui 600/500/400, covering 8 segmented markets such as coal transportation, steel plant sand and gravel transportation, heavy-duty transportation, port transportation, highway dump truck transportation, urban construction muck transportation，engineering mixing, agricultural and sideline products and green channel cargo transportation. Among them, the star products such as X5000E 600kWh, X5000E 500kWh, and M3000E 400kWh/433kWh/452kWh are mainly promoted. Through strengthening the empowerment of big data, integrating data resources, and with the support of proprietary technologies, the performance of the new products of the “Zhihui” brand has reached a new height, and the vehicle’s economy, reliability, and safety lead the industry. The “Zhihui” brand is also a domestic charging heavy-duty truck brand with completely independent three-electric software and hardware, which will help Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Duty Trucks become a leader in the new energy field of commercial vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that for Shaanxi Automobile Heavy Duty Trucks’ “Zhihui” brand, Weichai New Energy Power has carried out a product layout covering the whole series, the whole field, and all scenarios, and has custom-developed blade battery products with a capacity coverage of 200-800kWh and motors with a power coverage of 430-580kW. It is reported that Weichai’s blade batteries adopt the most advanced technical route, with high energy density and strong heat dissipation ability. The products are safer, not afraid of acupuncture or extrusion, and high automation ensures high product quality and consistency; they are more durable, with a maximum battery cycle life of 5,000 times, and the residual value of the battery of a 5-year-old second-hand vehicle is increased by 25%; they are lighter, with a maximum vehicle weight reduction of 220 kg and an annual operation income increase of 4,000 yuan; they are more efficient, with a 20% improvement in starting ability and a 10% improvement in the vehicle’s cruising range. At the same time, it is compatible with more than 5,000 existing service resources, builds a one-stop three-electric service network, achieves full coverage of regions and components, and greatly improves the customer operation experience.

Before the launch event, the participating guests jointly visited the Weichai (Yantai) New Energy Power Industrial Park and the product exhibition. The industrial park is planned to have a production and manufacturing capacity of 50GWh of batteries and is one of the largest production bases for the three-electric systems of new energy heavy-duty trucks in China.
