On April 24th, during the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Jiangling Motors, a leader in China’s commercial vehicle industry, and Bosch, a globally leading technology and service provider, jointly released an innovative “Super Light Truck System Solution”. Qiu Tiangao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jiangling Group and Chairman of Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited, Xu Daquan, President of Bosch China, Wang Weiliang, President of the Board of Directors of Bosch Intelligent Mobility Group in China, Xiong Chunying, President of Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited, and Zhong Junhua, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Jiangling Group, Secretary of the Party Committee, and First Executive Vice President of Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited, attended the release event.

JMC and Bosch Jointly Released the Super Light Truck System Solution

Jiangling Motors has been deeply engaged in the light commercial vehicle market for more than 40 years, always adhering to the development concept of “customer-centric” and continuously increasing its layout in new energy technologies. As a benchmark enterprise in global automotive technology, Bosch provided a full-stack solution at the vehicle level for this cooperation. Since the two sides started cooperation in the field of diesel common rail systems, they have maintained a close strategic partnership for more than 20 years. From the integration of after-treatment systems to the joint development of electric drive systems, they have jointly promoted the technological iteration of commercial vehicles.

Facing the opportunities of the rapid increase in the penetration rate of new energy light trucks and the surging demand for high efficiency and intelligence in the logistics industry, Jiangling and Bosch joined hands again to release the “Super Light Truck System Solution” at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. They aim to reshape the value of light trucks with the characteristics of “more, faster, better, and more cost-effective”, accelerate the transformation of commercial vehicles towards green and intelligent development, and inject new impetus into future smart logistics.

Addressing User Needs and Reshaping the Value of Light Trucks

Under the combined influence of China’s dual-carbon strategy, the continuous optimization of regulatory road rights, and the continuous improvement of infrastructure, new energy commercial vehicles are accelerating the replacement of fuel vehicles. The insurance data in March shows that the penetration rate of new energy light trucks is 19.7%, and in the top 15 cities in terms of new energy vehicle sales, it has even exceeded 43%. Based on in-depth research on more than 50 key new energy cities across the country and more than 600 logistics enterprises, Jiangling Motors accurately captured the four core dimensions of user needs:

  • More: Suitable for multiple scenarios such as express delivery and cold chain transportation. Optimize the cargo box space and load-bearing capacity to help customers “earn more”.
  • Faster: Achieve efficient transportation, support fast charging within 30 minutes, and have a rapid response from the national service network to improve operation efficiency.
  • Better: The active safety system reduces the accident rate. Paired with the power steering and energy recovery systems, it improves the vehicle’s handling performance. The thermal management system equipped with a super heat pump creates a more comfortable “mobile home”.
  • More Cost-effective: The vehicle has high reliability and a low failure rate. With the risk reduction technical solutions, it significantly reduces the accident rate, and the insurance cost is more favorable.
Aiming at the industry pain point of the low residual value rate of electric commercial vehicles, Jiangling is committed to improving the long-term value of vehicles by optimizing the three-electric system, strengthening the active and passive safety configurations, and applying forward-looking technologies, making the vehicle a truly valuable asset in the eyes of users.
In addition, Jiangling is also actively expanding its business model. Its Lexing Capacity Platform has operated nearly 10,000 new energy vehicles, covering more than 30 cities and more than 100 operators, reaching a consensus with customers that “Jiangling new energy vehicles are worth owning for the long term”.

A Powerful Alliance to Expand the New Pattern of New Energy Commercial Vehicles

As long-term strategic partners, Jiangling Motors and Bosch have achieved fruitful results in the field of commercial vehicles. From the diesel common rail system more than 20 years ago to the after-treatment integration project in 2016, the two sides have continuously promoted technological innovation. In 2023, Jiangling Lexing E-Luda pure electric light truck was launched; in 2024, the E-Shunda small truck electric drive system was implemented; in October of the same year, the two sides signed a joint venture agreement, focusing on jointly developing and selling electric drive systems for light commercial vehicles, accelerating the new energy transformation process of commercial vehicles.

The “Super Light Truck Solution” created based on the deep cooperation between the two sides focuses on creating greater value for users and is committed to achieving the three core goals of energy conservation, economy, and reliability. By integrating leading technologies and optimizing for different transportation scenarios, it brings users more efficient and user-friendly transportation tools, promoting the upgrade of light truck products from simple transportation tools to intelligent, green, and comfortable comprehensive operation carriers.

“The future super light truck is not just a simple pile-up of parameters but a comprehensive reshaping of value. Jiangling Motors is willing to adhere to the long-term principle together with Bosch and more partners, and let the super light truck that meets customer needs bring more possibilities to green logistics!” said Wu Xiaojun, Vice President of Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited and CEO of the New Energy Division.

This release not only marks the strategic upgrade of the cooperation between the two sides but also announces another leap for Jiangling in the technical system and business model in the new energy light truck track. By deeply integrating Jiangling’s advantages in local R&D and scenario understanding with Bosch’s systematic platform capabilities, the two sides jointly create innovative solutions for the entire life cycle.
