The sluggishness of the logistics industry has shifted many truck drivers’ vehicle purchase mindset toward minimizing investment and recouping costs as soon as possible. Therefore, among models of the same class, products with lower prices and higher cost-effectiveness are more favored by users.

When SITRAK models were priced at over 400,000 yuan, many people thought they were expensive; when the price dropped to over 300,000 yuan, some still said they would wait. Now, SITRAK has launched the G7M model with a starting price of over 200,000 yuan. Isn’t this price appealing enough?
Medium-Sized High-Roof Cab, No Compromise on Comfort Features

The cab of the SITRAK G7M differs slightly from the commonly seen G7H. It adopts a medium-sized MAN-technology cab with a width of approximately 2.3 meters, while the conventional wide-body cab of the SITRAK G7H is 2.55 meters – making the G7M’s cab slightly narrower in lateral dimensions. This cab is actually based on the design and technology of the MAN TGS; it was also used in early SITRAK products, and is still widely applied in chassis of pump trucks and engineering vehicles we often see today.

To create a more spacious driving and riding space for drivers, the high-roof version of the SITRAK G7M is equipped with an ultra-high roof configuration, which is even taller than the previous high-roof version. In terms of colors, options such as the previously available Coral Red, Morpho Blue, and Smart Fox Silver are all selectable. The diverse color schemes also endow the vehicle with a youthful character.

The rearview mirrors are SITRAK’s classic integrated type, with the main mirror on top and the wide-angle mirror below. Both mirrors support electric adjustment and heating functions, making them one of the most practical options among models of the same class.

A camera is installed at the mirror bracket of the rearview mirror, indicating that the SITRAK G7M is equipped with a 4-channel video monitoring function. When the turn signal is activated, the corresponding side’s video feed will automatically appear on the instrument panel, reducing the vehicle’s blind spots.

All headlights use LED light sources, with projectors for the low beams and LED fog lights as well. This configuration enhances the vehicle’s lighting effect at night, avoids issues caused by later lighting modifications, and the long service life of LEDs also improves the vehicle’s reliability.

The seats of the SITRAK G7M are the classic multi-functional air-suspension seats used in SITRAK models, featuring damping adjustment, lumbar support, and other functions. Meanwhile, the seat back and cushion offer excellent wraparound support – they not only filter out most vibrations during driving but also reduce driver fatigue from prolonged sitting.

The G7M’s cab has a raised-floor design, with a floor height of approximately 20 cm – a relatively low height among raised-floor products of the same class. Combined with the ultra-high roof design, even drivers who are 1.8 meters tall can easily stand upright inside the cab.

Although the G7M is the most affordable model in the SITRAK lineup, it still upholds SITRAK’s standards – there is no compromise on build quality due to the lower price. The SITRAK G7M is equipped with a four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with Bluetooth calling, cruise control, and other functions. The door panels and dashboard use soft padding; the dashboard is fitted with a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen and automatic air conditioning. Both in terms of configuration and materials, it exudes a high-end temperament.

Overview of the dashboard configuration: The lower button area is centralized, including controls for the two differential locks, as well as switches for collision warning and lane departure warning. On the right side are the control levers for the parking brake and trailer brake.

The rear bunk features a widened design, with a maximum width of approximately 900 mm – allowing a single person to roll over comfortably when lying down. The bunk is designed to be liftable; underneath is a storage compartment for stowing on-board items.

Thanks to the high-roof design, the overhead storage cabinets of the SITRAK G7M can be made particularly large. Unlike the previous long, narrow horizontal cabinet doors, they now feature large square doors, with a roller shutter door in the middle – one cabinet can easily hold three school bags.
Classic MAN Engine & Weichai Power, Chassis Maintains MAN-Technology High Quality
The SITRAK G7M offers two engine options: the MAN-technology MC11 diesel engine and the Weichai WP13NG gas engine. The model with a starting price of over 200,000 yuan is the MC11 MAN engine version with 490 horsepower, while the Weichai WP13NG gas version has a starting price of over 300,000 yuan.

The test-driven model is equipped with the Weichai WP13NG 480-horsepower engine, which adopts stoichiometric combustion technology and delivers a maximum torque of 2,300 N·m (available between 800 rpm and 1,300 rpm). Benefiting from Weichai’s new high-explosion-pressure platform, various energy-saving technologies, and engine low-resistance, low-friction technologies, this gas engine also delivers excellent gas consumption performance during actual operation.

The transmission is Howo’s latest HW25712 series manual transmission, with the specific model HW25712XSTQ. It comes with configurations such as synchronizers, helical gears, and a dual countershaft. Additionally, this transmission is equipped with a shift assist function – even when driving on national highways with frequent gear shifts, drivers will not feel fatigued from shifting.

The rear axle is matched with the MAN-technology MCJ12BGY 12-ton single-reduction axle, with a gear ratio of 3.08. The tires are Linglong ECO-WINGS series low-rolling-resistance tubeless tires, in size 12R22.5.

It adopts a few-leaf spring design (2 front leaves, 4 rear leaves) and is paired with a TGA lightweight frame. The curb weight of the SITRAK G7M gas version can be as low as 8.32 tons. For scenarios such as resource transportation that require maximizing load within compliance limits, this vehicle is an ideal choice.

The gas cylinder capacity is 1,350 liters, indicating that the vehicle is positioned mainly for medium-short distance transportation. However, for long-distance users, a large-capacity 1,500-liter gas cylinder is also available as an option.
Conclusion

The SITRAK G7M is characterized by its lightweight design and high cost-effectiveness, targeting niche markets such as resource transportation, dangerous goods transportation, and medium-short distance transfer. With SITRAK’s high-end quality and quality control, first-class domestic powertrain configuration, and a “super competitive” starting price, it is believed that this model will definitely trigger a wave of popularity in the market later!
