On October 18, the Shandong Heavy Industry · Weichai Power Global Partners Conference, themed “Empowering with Technology, Equipping for a Better Life”, grandly kicked off at the Qingdao Hongdao International Convention Center. Ren Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Qingdao; and Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shandong Province, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Wang Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, gave a keynote speech and presented awards to outstanding overseas strategic partners. Ye Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and Chairman of the Labor Union of the Group, presented awards to outstanding overseas employees. Nearly 3,000 partners and overseas employees from more than 140 countries around the world gathered together to renew friendships and discuss development.
Ren Gang introduced the development of Qingdao. He stated that Shandong Heavy Industry Group is an important leading enterprise in China’s equipment manufacturing industry, gathering a number of globally competitive brands such as Weichai Power and Sinotruk, and is moving towards becoming a world-class transnational enterprise in high-end equipment. For a long time, Shandong Heavy Industry has maintained a good cooperative relationship with Qingdao, injecting strong impetus into the development of Qingdao’s advanced manufacturing industry. He expressed expectations that Shandong Heavy Industry, together with its partners, will enter Qingdao, choose Qingdao, and deploy in Qingdao to jointly create a more prosperous future.
Man Shengang introduced the development of state-owned enterprises under the supervision of Shandong Province. He said that Shandong Heavy Industry is an excellent representative of provincial-owned enterprises in Shandong and a bright business card of Shandong globally. In recent years, with the spirit of unremitting efforts, standing at the forefront of the times, and striving for the first place, Shandong Heavy Industry has maintained a sound momentum of high-quality development. The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shandong Province will continue to firmly support Shandong Heavy Industry in becoming stronger, better, and larger, making it an important force leading Chinese equipment to the world, and building it into a world-class transnational group of high-end equipment with technological leadership and green development.
Wang Zhijian shared Shandong Heavy Industry’s development advantages, strategic direction, and win-win philosophy. The full industrial chain layout driven by core technologies, the industry-leading smart manufacturing level, and the well-known brand matrix with profound heritage have injected strong impetus into the group’s rapid global development. In the future, Shandong Heavy Industry will focus on new energy, digital intelligence, after-sales market, and globalization; work with partners to accelerate the layout of overseas localization; promote the integrated operation of all elements including R&D, production, supply, sales, services, finance, and brands; and tap the vast global market.
The conference officially released Shandong Heavy Industry’s global brand logo. Ren Gang, Man Shengang, Wang Zhijian, representatives of strategic partners, and representatives of overseas employees jointly unveiled the brand logo.
At the conference, Shandong Heavy Industry Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with Huawei Digital New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) to strengthen business synergy in overseas markets.
The conference presented awards to 40 outstanding overseas strategic partners and 30 outstanding overseas employees.
Huawei, Sinosure, and major domestic and foreign subsidiaries of Shandong Heavy Industry respectively conducted product promotions.
During the event, a new product exhibition of Shandong Heavy Industry was held simultaneously. The group’s six major business segments collectively showcased new products and new technologies, fully demonstrating the group’s product portfolio advantages and strong technological strength.
