From October 15 to 19, the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was grandly held in Guangzhou. FAW Trucks, with the theme of “Creating Wealth, Driving the Future”, made a heavyweight appearance with its star products – the J7 tractor, JH6 dump truck, and Tiger 6G pure electric light truck. It showcased to global partners China’s commercial vehicles’ leading strength in high-end manufacturing, green low-carbon, and intelligent connectivity fields. The booth was crowded with visitors, and the negotiation atmosphere was enthusiastic, fully demonstrating the extraordinary charm of “Intelligent Manufacturing in China” and the international influence of the Jiefang brand.
At this Canton Fair, FAW Trucks’ booth became one of the focal points. The booth design integrates technological and international elements, vividly interpreting the core concept of the Jiefang brand empowering global logistics. Since the opening, it has attracted merchants from many regions and countries around the world, including Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The on-site natural visitor flow remained at a high level, with a total of nearly 1,000 person-times received, and more than 600 potential customers conducting in-depth negotiations, covering logistics companies, large fleet operators, and regional distributors.
The three main models displayed by FAW Trucks this time each have their own characteristics, accurately meeting the needs of different segmented markets.
The J7 tractor defines new standards for high-end, safety, and comfort. Equipped with a 580PS high-horsepower engine and a 3.545 small-speed-ratio rear axle, it is specially designed for efficient trunk-line logistics.
The JH6 dump truck targets the heavy-duty engineering construction market with its strong load-bearing capacity and reliability. It has excellent climbing ability and adaptability to complex road conditions. Configurations such as a 10-inch screen and four-way cameras significantly improve operational safety.
As a pure electric light truck, the Tiger 6G is a masterpiece responding to the global zero-carbon logistics trend. It is equipped with a 96.2kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, combined with an efficient battery liquid cooling system, ensuring stable range performance.
In addition to mass-produced models, FAW Trucks also displayed an innovative achievement jointly developed with its strategic partner Shell – the Starship Concept Hybrid Truck. This model integrates a number of cutting-edge technologies, depicting a blueprint for energy conservation and carbon reduction of future commercial vehicles. The supporting smart power domain (H power domain) adopts a P2 configuration hybrid system, combined with intelligent energy management and waste heat recovery technology, achieving a significant reduction in fuel consumption. Through the “bullet-shaped” cab and integrated tractor-trailer drag reduction kit, the drag coefficient is as low as 0.24. Equipped with L2-level intelligent driving, electronic rearview mirrors, and predictive cruise control system, it achieves dual improvements in energy efficiency and safety. It applies low-rolling-resistance tires, solar panels on the top of the trailer, and low-friction lubrication technology, tapping into energy-saving potential in an all-round way.
During the exhibition, relying on its solid product strength and technological advantages, FAW Trucks achieved fruitful business results. Many international customers showed strong purchase and agency intentions towards the J7’s intelligent technology, the JH6’s durability, and the Tiger 6G’s environmental protection and economy. Customers from Latin America plan to conduct on-site inspections of FAW Trucks’ production bases after the fair to gain an in-depth understanding of its intelligent manufacturing system. At the same time, in response to the strong willingness of users in emerging markets such as Africa and Southeast Asia to purchase pure electric products, FAW Trucks is actively promoting the construction of localized service networks and the development of adaptive products to accelerate the layout of the global market.
