On November 10, China’s only national-level commercial vehicle exhibition – the 2025 China International Commercial Vehicle Show (CCVS, also known as the Wuhan Auto Show) – grandly opened at the Wuhan International Expo Center. With the theme of “High-end, Intelligent, Green”, this exhibition represents the “vane” of high-quality development in China’s commercial vehicle industry.
In recent years, FAW trucks’ transformation and development path has become increasingly steady. Driven by the national “dual carbon” goals and the market demand for “cost reduction and efficiency improvement”, FAW trucks’ new energy models have fully covered diversified commercial scenarios such as trunk line logistics, urban construction, and special-purpose transportation, with unique technical advantages and operational value. At this year’s Wuhan Auto Show, FAW trucks made a brilliant appearance with the theme of “High-end, Green”, showcasing 5 new energy trucks, 2 sets of Jiefang Power products, and more than 30 after-market products. In recent years, thanks to the stable oil-electric price difference and national policy subsidies, the proportion of pure electric vehicles in feed transportation has been increasing. At this auto show, FAW trucks brought the 8×4 pure electric feed transport vehicle. Adopting the J6L flat-roof extended cab, it offers ample driving and riding space and a comfortable experience. The chassis is equipped with CATL’s new-generation high-density battery with a capacity of 310kWh, paired with a CAM400PT53 motor + CA4TA240E gearbox, outputting 544 horsepower, and the overall vehicle power consumption is lower than the industry average.
Tailor-made for bulk feed transportation, the tank body is stamped and formed with Baosteel high-strength wear-resistant steel plates, adopting an integrated structure with the frame. It features light weight, low center of gravity, large capacity, high strength, and long service life. Relevant electrical components are imported, and the electronic control system adopts a full remote control commercial power + chassis dual mode, ensuring high reliability. Overall, the Jiefang J6L 8×4 pure electric feed transport vehicle focuses on convenience and cost savings, making it an excellent choice for electric feed transportation.
Meanwhile, FAW Trucks also presented the J6P 8×4 heavy-duty pure electric tractor at the show. Adopting the J6P high-roof extended cab, it boasts large battery capacity and high reliability, adapting to the increasingly strict environmental protection requirements for urban and rural construction. Equipped with a 600kWh large-capacity battery, matched with a 680-horsepower CAM400PT55 motor, Fast 6E240 gearbox, and cast steel wheel reducer axle, it has strong heavy-load capacity and impressive passing performance.
For pure electric dump trucks, reliability is crucial. Targeting harsh operating scenarios, the Jiefang J6P 8×4 heavy-duty pure electric tractor is built on the mature J6P series heavy-load platform, using a self-developed battery frame system for stable shock absorption, which helps extend battery life. Combined with configurations such as underbody guards and upgraded wiring harness connectors for the entire vehicle, it faces the threats of sand, sewage, and stones at construction sites, achieving extremely high reliability.
In addition to dump trucks, concrete mixers are also “rising stars” in environmentally friendly urban and rural construction. At this auto show, FAW trucks brought the J6L 8×4 pure electric mixer. Adopting the J6L flat-roof extended cab, it features fully upgraded electronic braking and electric steering, and is equipped with 21 exclusive upgrades including NVH Package 2.0. It provides a quieter and dust-proof interior environment, optimized ergonomics, and more convenient and comfortable operation.
The FAW trucks J6L 8×4 pure electric mixer achieves the lightest weight in the industry without compromising the three-electric (battery, motor, electronic control) system: it is equipped with a 352kWh battery, matched with a 544-horsepower CAM400PT53 motor, CA4TA240E gearbox, and wheel reducer drive axle, boasting excellent climbing performance and strong continuous uphill and off-road capabilities. On this basis, the FAW trucks J6L 8×4 pure electric mixer has made key breakthroughs in details such as waterproof sealing, achieving IP67 dust and water resistance. Combined with optimizations for low-speed operating conditions, it has achieved the highest attendance rate in the industry.
In heavy-load short-distance transportation scenarios such as mining areas and ports, pure electric tractors are increasingly widely used. At this auto show, FAW trucks brought the J6L 6×4 electric drive axle pure electric tractor. Adopting FAW trucks’ independent electric drive axle system, it takes high integration, high transmission efficiency, and high reliability as core advantages, capable of continuous output of high power and torque – up to 653 horsepower and 2800N·m of torque. It can easily handle heavy-load conditions with a maximum load capacity of 150 tons!
On this basis, the FAW trucks J6L 6×4 electric drive axle pure electric tractor is matched with a 400kWh large-capacity battery. Combined with measures such as overall vehicle energy flow management, gearbox shifting strategy optimization, and thermal management strategy upgrading, it achieves extremely low power consumption and optimal range. In addition, the vehicle’s underbody guard is upgraded, the reliability of the air pump and oil pump is improved, and the high-voltage connector has IP6K9K waterproof performance, achieving comprehensive reliability enhancement.
In addition to the four “heavyweight models”, FAW trucks also brought the Tiger 6G 4×2 pure electric truck at the show. Tailored for typical scenarios such as urban distribution, it is equipped with a 96kWh single-pack battery + 1.3C fast charging technology, with a range of 260KM-300KM and a 15% shorter charging time. The battery pack adopts a mid-mounted design, placing it in the center of the frame. This design not only improves chassis space utilization but also enhances body rigidity and battery protection, which is also the future development trend of pure electric light trucks.
The Tiger 6G 4×2 pure electric truck adopts a 1710mm wide track + 865mm ultra-wide frame, featuring excellent load-bearing capacity and strong driving stability. It uses an electric drive axle system with a parallel-axis integrated motor layout, with a peak power of 147kW – the strongest power among standard-load products in the industry. It has fast acceleration and handles heavy loads with ease.
In addition to new energy products, FAW trucks also brought a variety of advanced power products to the show. The picture above shows the FAW heavy-duty in-cylinder direct injection hydrogen engine. Adopting advanced hydrogen direct injection and high compression ratio technology, it achieves industry-leading low gas consumption and near-zero emission performance, with a B10 life exceeding 1 million kilometers. The overall vehicle purchase cost is 50% lower than that of similar fuel vehicles, combining economy and environmental protection.
Moreover, FAW trucks also exhibited the H power domain product on site. This product features fuel saving, reliability, smooth power, compact structure, and affordable price. It has passed a full-life 180,000 start-stop durability test, leading the industry! The measured fuel saving rate in regulatory standard cycles can reach more than 30%, with a short payback period and green license certification, helping users achieve efficient and environmentally friendly operations.
More than 30 FAW trucks after-market exhibits also made their debut at this Wuhan Auto Show, including glass cups, tea sets, dolls, and other products.
