On November 24, 2025, Scania and Traton Group officially launched the NEXT ERA tractor series for the world’s largest truck market, fulfilling their long-term commitment of “In China, For China”. Leveraging Traton’s modular system concept and in-depth understanding of the local market, the NEXT ERA is specifically developed for China’s highly competitive long-distance transportation market, which will reshape the industry’s value benchmark. This series of products will be manufactured at Scania’s Rugao industrial production base and promoted through an independently operated exclusive sales organization – NEXT ERA Sales & Service, parallel to the Group’s existing channels in China.

This event marks the official start of the NEXT ERA product launch journey, with related promotions continuing until the first quarter of 2026. The first batch of vehicles will begin delivery in March next year.

Developed at China Speed, Precisely Meeting Local Needs

The NEXT ERA not only realizes Made in China but also practices Created in China. The local R&D team efficiently completed product development at “China Speed”, accurately responding to the core needs of Chinese long-distance transportation customers through optimized fuel performance, fully verified reliability, and driver-centric driving design. The intelligent cockpit and intelligent driving system are deeply integrated with the local digital ecosystem, significantly improving operational efficiency, driving safety, and operational convenience.

The power system is equipped with a TD13 engine based on Traton’s Common Base Engine (CBE) architecture, with a maximum output power of 500 horsepower and a peak torque of 2550 N·m. It is matched with an advanced gearbox and CCAP (Active Predictive Cruise Control) system to further optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) throughout the lifecycle. The planned product matrix includes 6×4, 6×2, and 4×2 tractors, which can widely meet the needs of express delivery, cold chain logistics, and general cargo transportation scenarios.

A High-Value Partner That is Easy to Purchase and Use

NEXT ERA Sales & Service is building an exclusive sales and service network, with an initial plan of approximately 80 outlets and 150 service vehicles. The network has high flexibility and can be dynamically adjusted and expanded according to customer needs.
