Since 2022, each generation of Chenglong’s appearance design has been particularly stunning. From the dragon scale appearance of H5V to the dragon armor appearance of HK, the avant-garde design makes a deep first impression. When driving on the road, the gradual armor grille can also reduce wind resistance and surface dust.
Many vehicles nowadays cancel the front secondary footrest or narrow its area for grille consistency. Cummins New Gas Engine: Preferred Power Chain for Trunk Lines
The power matched with Chenglong HK is definitely a major highlight of the whole vehicle. The new Cummins 15-liter gas engine, model 15NNS6B630A, has its horsepower increased to 630hp, torque 2600N·m, and low-speed torque increased by 200N·m.
The new Cummins 15-liter gas engine has the best air-fuel ratio, improved compression ratio, increased Miller cycle technology, and applied Dragon Rhino energy-saving system, etc., so that the combustion efficiency is increased by 10%, the gas consumption is reduced by 5%, and the gas consumption is reduced by 2kg/100km compared with the models of friendly merchants.
The transmission is matched with Fast Intelligent 16-speed AMT transmission. In the later stage, Eaton Winning 12-speed AMT can be optionally configured. Both transmissions are mature products on the market, with the characteristics of high transmission efficiency and low maintenance. It can also be seen from the figure that this transmission is equipped with a hydraulic retarder, which can effectively assist braking when driving on mountain roads in Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan and other regions, reduce the working frequency of the braking system, improve driving safety, and enhance braking effect.
The rear axle is Dana new 440 single-stage reduction axle with a speed ratio of 3.364, and the tires are 12R22.5 low-rolling-resistance tires. The power chain configuration of Chenglong HK balances national highways and highways. Using large horsepower and 16 gears with a moderate speed ratio, it can be used for high-speed express transportation and mountain national highways. In the era of large horsepower, it is more useful than the previous 12-speed ultra + 3.7.
The rear axle is a drum brake, with inter-axle differential lock and inter-wheel differential lock. The frame is a 282 single-layer frame, and an electrostatic belt is standard at the rear.
The thrust rod of the rear axle is a cross-pin V-push, which is used to stabilize the horizontal and vertical displacement of the axle. The three-point force of the cross-pin can also extend the service life of the bushing.
