The Euro NCAP commercial light vehicle ratings focus on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), recognized as the highest standard in commercial vehicle evaluation. In 2023, the rating system adopted more stringent and detailed criteria. SAIC Maxus emerged as a standout, surpassing many European and international brands to win three gold awards, exceeding the requirements of the European Union’s General Safety Regulation (GSR2) that took effect on July 1, 2024.

The eDELIVER 5 excels in safety features, such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and occupant status monitoring. It achieved a platinum rating in the Euro NCAP assessment, with an impressive 82% safety assistance performance score. Notably, its AEB car-to-car performance scored 92%, making it a leader in its class. The eDELIVER 5 also received high marks for pedestrian and cyclist detection, scoring 73% and 93% respectively, demonstrating its comprehensive safety capabilities in urban environments.

The eDELIVER 7 and eDELIVER 9 also performed exceptionally well, with the eDELIVER 7 equipped with L2+ intelligent driving assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-change assist, and lane-keeping assist. The eDELIVER 9 features standard stability control, brake assist, and hill-start assist. Both models achieved gold ratings in the rigorous Euro NCAP assessment, with safety assistance performance scores of 77% and 74% respectively. TheeDELIVER 7’s lane-keeping assist scored 88%, while the eDELIVER 9 achieved a perfect score of 100% for cyclist detection, showcasing their top-tier safety features.
