Following the rollout of the new Tianlong KL/KX tractors, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle held a “Fuel-Saving Challenge” themed “One Tank, Incredible Range.” The challenge covered a 1,445.2 km route from Jiayuguan to Xianyang, passing through varied terrains including gobi, desert, highways, and national roads. Remarkably, the Dongfeng Tianlong KL540 completed the entire journey on a single tank of gas, with an average consumption of just 24.9 kg/100 km.

The event is themed “Dongfeng and Yuchai: Prosperity on the Horizon.” Since the late 20th century, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle and Yuchai Machinery have collaborated to produce a series of highly regarded transport vehicles. In the face of fierce competition in the gas-powered vehicle market, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle has chosen to deepen its partnership with Yuchai, combining their strengths to launch the new Dongfeng Tianlong KX/KL gas-powered models. The new Dongfeng Tianlong KX, equipped with the Yuchai YCK15N engine, focuses on long-haul transport with 570 horsepower, while the Tianlong KL, powered by the Yuchai YCK14N engine, delivers 540 horsepower, ideal for mixed freight scenarios. The launch event will highlight the exceptional performance of these models in terms of power, economy, reliability, and comfort.
