On September 9, Sheikh Saud, a member of the UAE Federal Supreme Council and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, visited Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xiamen King Long”) while attending the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade. He was accompanied by Li Weihua, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Congress; Zhang Quan, Director of the Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office; and Liu Zhijun, Vice President of King Long Motor Group, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of Xiamen King Long.
The UAE is an important comprehensive strategic partner of China, and both countries are continuously promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, working together to build a China-Arab community of shared future, setting a new model for China-Arab relations in the modern era. For many years, Xiamen King Long’s products have been well-received and recognized by the people of the UAE. On Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, King Long’s autonomous vehicles provide safe, convenient, and intelligent transportation solutions for residents and tourists. In 2023, Xiamen King Long won the championship at the Dubai Autonomous Transportation Challenge, showcasing the strength of China’s intelligent manufacturing on the global stage.
During the visit, Sheikh Saud and his delegation toured Xiamen King Long’s digital showroom, where they learned about the company’s development history and brand culture. They also test-rode King Long’s autonomous vehicles and examined the company’s new energy commercial vehicle products. Sheikh Saud highly praised the development achievements of Chinese brands, speed, technology, and intelligent manufacturing. He noted that China is an important partner of the UAE and expressed his hope that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to expand, deepening the high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Looking ahead, he expressed his willingness to work with Xiamen King Long to enhance cooperation in the new energy vehicle industry and achieve mutually beneficial development.
