On September 17, the world’s largest and most influential commercial vehicle exhibition, the 2024 IAA Commercial Vehicles Show in Hannover, Germany, officially opened. FAST showcased three globally leading commercial vehicle transmission system products, focusing on “intelligence” and “low carbon.”

FAST’s product lineup was impressive. The world’s first 9-speed fully integrated AMT, the F2HD45-P dual-motor multi-mode power coupling hybrid system for light trucks, and the FS4E200-2E, the world’s first 4-speed highly integrated electric drive system, all gained widespread attention from the industry for their excellent performance and innovative designs. These products fully demonstrated FAST’s strong independent R&D capabilities and deep technical expertise, leading the trend in the integration, modularization, and lightweight development of new energy commercial vehicle drive systems.

Ma Xiuyao, Party Secretary and Chairman of FAST Group, visited the company’s exhibition area to understand the display of products in detail. He had friendly exchanges with on-site staff, encouraging everyone to closely follow the pulse of industrial development. He emphasized using new products, new technologies, and new services to accelerate structural adjustments, promote transformation, and boost momentum to fully meet the needs of domestic and international markets. During the exhibition, Chairman Ma participated in the launch event of new products from Sinotruk and the promotion event of Shaanxi Automobile, learning about the products on display from both China and abroad. He also engaged in interactive discussions with senior executives and experts from companies such as Eaton, BorgWarner, AVL, Schaeffler, Knorr-Bremse, Hedrick from Sweden, and Ford, gaining insights into the latest industry trends and market directions while actively seeking new opportunities for international cooperation. FAST Group Deputy General Manager Wang Yafeng also participated in these activities.

FAST Yixing AMT
The F9JZ140A is the world’s first medium-sized fully integrated 9-speed AMT, designed for a variety of medium-duty commercial vehicles. Its electromechanical system is highly integrated, featuring a compact structure with a central clutch and actuator system, making it more suitable for vehicle layout. The system uses a fully aluminum alloy housing, reducing the overall weight of the transmission to only 180 kg, which lowers fuel consumption. In terms of reliability, the dual intermediate shaft structure and fully ground gears of the main and auxiliary boxes ensure maximum efficiency of over 99.8%, enhancing vehicle uptime. Intelligent modes like economic coasting, escape mode, and intelligent hill-start assist further reduce fuel consumption and improve driving safety.

FAST BlueDrive Hybrid System
The F2HD45-P adopts a globally leading dual-motor multi-mode power coupling technology, specially designed for 4.5-10t light trucks. It can seamlessly switch between pure electric and hybrid modes, thanks to the generator that starts in gear using stepless motor speed control. The system combines various modes, including pure electric, hybrid, and overdrive modes, optimizing vehicle performance under different conditions. Even in the event of high-voltage failure, the vehicle can continue to operate normally. With the dual-motor system and outstanding energy management, the overall fuel-saving rate exceeds 25%, accelerating the recovery of vehicle costs.

FAST BlueDrive New Energy Electric System
The FS4E200-2E three-in-one electric drive system is the first domestically launched high-integration new energy commercial vehicle power system. It adopts an integrated design scheme with a high-power density motor controller, high-speed flat wire large power motor, and a 4-speed fully helical gear transmission. Its integrated aluminum cast housing reduces the system’s weight to just 380 kg—more than 200 kg lighter than comparable products—significantly reducing overall vehicle energy consumption. The fully integrated electric drive system, independently developed by FAST, combines the wider efficiency zone of the flat wire motor with optimal transmission gear ratio distribution, improving system efficiency by more than 2%. The system also uses a domestically first-of-its-kind integrated pneumatic shift control mechanism, eliminating exposed TCU, solenoid valves, sensors, and wiring harnesses, which greatly enhances reliability. Supported by FAST’s self-developed TCU/VCU software platform, the vehicle achieves lower energy consumption and offers a more comfortable driving experience.
Looking to the future, FAST will continue to adhere to its innovation-driven development strategy, accelerating the R&D and launch of high-end, intelligent, green, and diversified automotive components. FAST will also strengthen its global market layout, contributing its strength to the rapid development of the global commercial vehicle industry.
