On September 29, 2024, the launch ceremony of the new Qiangling Isuzu 600 series, themed “Wide Frame Platform, Super Strong Power, All-New Cab,” was successfully held at the Qiangling automobile manufacturing base.
As a masterpiece jointly developed by Qiangling Motors and Japan’s Isuzu, the new 600 series employs a professional platform developed using big data and AI algorithms. With three core competitive strengths of large power, large capacity, and large cab, it defines a new standard for high-end high-power blue plate light trucks.

Compliance with high-power blue plate light trucks has become a growth point in the light truck market over the past two years. These vehicles are not only highly regarded in urban distribution scenarios but also play a crucial role in rural areas, mountainous regions, and long-distance transportation.
As Qiangling Isuzu’s first high-power light truck, the new 600 series brings innovation to its power system. The vehicle is equipped with a new 2.5L displacement Qiangling Isuzu 4KK engine, capable of delivering a peak power of 160 horsepower and a peak torque of 435N·m. This model is characterized by its low-speed torque and wide torque band, allowing for sustained output of high torque in the 1400-2400 rpm high-efficiency range.
Matched with this is the Isuzu MYY 6MT transmission, featuring unique gear deformation technology, an all-aluminum lightweight design, and a φ300 air-operated lightweight clutch, achieving a transmission efficiency of up to 98%. With selectable rear axle ratios of 4.33/4.875/5.571, it is suitable for various working conditions, including highways, plains, and mountainous areas, capable of handling urban logistics, coastal ports, agricultural production areas, and construction material markets.

Additionally, NVH functions have been further optimized, reducing noise during driving and enhancing riding comfort.

The new 600 series is built on a new wide frame platform measuring 800×213mm, utilizing QSTE700TM high-strength steel with a yield strength of ≧700MPa and tensile strength of 750-950MPa. Compared to similar models, its mechanical performance has improved by 47%, with a weight reduction of 25%, which enhances load capacity and fuel efficiency to increase profits while reducing fuel consumption and emissions to lower costs.
The vehicle features a 3-ton front axle and a 5.5-ton rear axle, along with a front 6 and rear 6+6 leaf spring design, with a thickness of over 10 layers, achieving a medium truck-level load in light truck dimensions. Compared to previous Qiangling Isuzu models, the frame of the new 600 series is wider and sturdier, significantly enhancing vehicle stability and load-carrying performance, thus boosting profitability.
The truck is available in various specifications, including box trucks, flatbeds, compartment trucks, and refrigerated vehicles, in single cab, semi-cab, and double cab configurations, covering a wide range of high-capacity scenarios such as green transportation for agricultural products, seafood, beverages, and construction materials. It comes standard with ABS + EBD + emergency braking, larger brake discs, and shorter braking distances to enhance driving safety.

The cab employs human-machine optimization design, with a more ergonomic gear lever placement, rear-positioned handbrake, and flat seat layout to enhance resting comfort.
The driver’s seat is equipped with a pneumatic suspension wide-body 3D pressure-relieving seat, designed through CAS human-machine optimization, allowing for smooth movement without fear of up-and-down bumps or side-to-side sways, and featuring dual side support for comfortable seating or reclining. It also thoughtfully includes unique lumbar support structures, adjustable single armrests, and ample seat cushion filling to prevent fatigue during long drives and distance from occupational illnesses.
The new interior design offers a technology-rich experience. The high-resolution LCD instrument display shows dynamic data including temperature, fuel level, urea level, and air brake reserve pressure, enabling precise vehicle status monitoring. It is standard with a multimedia central control screen and IVI smart connectivity system, featuring truck navigation, audio-visual entertainment, Bluetooth phone, mobile interconnection, and application downloads, allowing for one-click connection between people, vehicles, and cargo for more convenient vehicle management.
It also includes integrated electrically heated and adjustable rearview mirrors to eliminate frost during rainy and winter seasons, ensuring safe driving visibility; equipped with a smart remote key for locating the vehicle, locking, and remote window control, offering ease of use.
