Recently, United Heavy Truck launched the Electric Qilin 400, a new energy pure electric heavy truck. With its 400 kWh high-energy density battery technology, developed by CATL’s second-generation technology for the heavy truck industry, and extended range, it has garnered widespread attention within the industry. The Electric Qilin, equipped with this advanced battery, achieves a deep discharge of over 95%, significantly extending its range and providing users with a more efficient and reliable transportation solution.

As the industry’s first mass-produced new energy heavy truck featuring CATL’s second-generation 400 kWh high-energy density battery, the Electric Qilin 400 boasts higher energy density and a longer cycle life. The truck’s battery can undergo 4,500 cycles over 8 years, with a discharge capacity of up to 1.8 million kWh. Compared to the widely used first-generation heavy truck battery packs, its anti-aging performance has improved by 1.5 times, ensuring a longer service life.

With an advanced battery management system, the Electric Qilin 400 achieves a discharge depth of over 95%, with a usable power capacity reaching 380 kWh. This enables the Electric Qilin 400 to deliver longer driving ranges and enhanced lifespan for the same distance. Additionally, the vehicle adopts IP67-rated TE connectivity plugs and harnesses, ensuring high reliability and uptime even under harsh conditions.

In terms of power performance, the Electric Qilin 400 is equally impressive. The vehicle is equipped with a new Green Control 1.5 generation drive motor, capable of a maximum output of 700 Ps and peak torque exceeding 24,000 Nm, with a maximum climbing gradient of over 30%. This power configuration ensures that the Electric Qilin 400 can handle complex road conditions effortlessly, giving users greater confidence and peace of mind. Additionally, the drivetrain, including the motor, controller, and transmission, comes with a 60-month or 300,000 km extended warranty, allowing users to operate with assurance.
Notably, the range improvement of the Electric Qilin 400 is not only attributed to advanced battery technology but also to clever use of lightweight design. By adopting lightweight beams, a self-developed lightweight frame, maintenance-free axles, and a lightweight battery, the total vehicle weight is just 9.8 tons. This allows it to carry an extra ton of cargo compared to similar models, fundamentally boosting single-trip operational revenue.

The launch of the United Heavy Truck Electric Qilin 400 represents a major breakthrough in new energy heavy truck battery technology and drives the advancement of the industry. In the future, United Heavy Truck, under the deep integration with Chery Group, will continue to expand its efforts in the field of new energy heavy trucks, delivering more efficient, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation solutions to a broad user base.
