The establishment of the Wuxi R&D Center represents a significant step in Yuchai’s strategy of dual-track development, focusing on both traditional and new energy power, as well as the domestic and international markets. This move is a crucial measure to implement the “Completeness, Innovation, and Strength” development guidelines. The new center will attract top industry talent, establish Yuchai as a technology innovation hub, tackle major scientific and technological challenges, and advance Yuchai’s pivotal mission of achieving breakthroughs in new energy power.

Reportedly, the Wuxi R&D Center is Yuchai’s fourth major research center after those in Yulin, Nanning, and Europe. It not only serves as a key R&D base in East China but also as an essential platform for cooperation with enterprises, universities, and research institutions. The center primarily focuses on developing low-carbon and zero-carbon fuel internal combustion power, hydrogen fuel cells, and water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment to provide global customers with green, efficient, and intelligent power products. Currently, the Wuxi R&D Center has already established preliminary capabilities in carbon-neutral power system product development, control and big data algorithms, CAE simulation, fuel cell system development, and electrolyzer product development.
