The JAC Star X5 electric heavy-duty truck features a robust electric drive system with a three-speed gearbox electric drive axle, delivering a peak power of 350kW and a peak torque of 620N·m. Compared to traditional central drive systems, its transmission efficiency increases by approximately 5%, significantly improving delivery efficiency.

The vehicle accelerates from 0–50km/h in under 15 seconds and has a maximum speed of 90km/h, ensuring faster transportation. A custom-developed high-speed flat-wire drive motor delivers over 40,000N·m of wheel-end peak torque and a 25% gradeability. This ensures efficient transportation even on hilly, bumpy, or non-paved roads that demand high torque. The lightweight design of the truck reduces overall weight, enabling more payload capacity per kilogram of weight saved. The power system alone weighs 350kg less than traditional central drive systems.

It supports single 600A or dual 1200A charging solutions, reducing charging time from SOC 20% to 80% to under 22 minutes. This ensures rapid vehicle turnaround and alleviates charging concerns.

With a 500.8kWh battery capacity, the truck achieves an extended range of over 400km under high-speed conditions. This effectively reduces charging frequency for long-haul transportation and meets the daily mileage requirements of urban short-haul distribution without concerns about range limitations. Additionally, its highly efficient electric drive system and JAC’s proprietary adaptive regenerative braking strategy reduce energy consumption to as low as 1kWh/km. The lightweight design keeps the total vehicle weight below 9,500kg.

The intelligent logistics management system monitors vehicle parameters in real-time, proactively warning of potential issues to reduce faults. Its route optimization function considers real-time traffic and historical data, ensuring efficient transportation while reducing driver workload and fatigue.

Trunk transportation involves many uncontrollable factors, while urban distribution requires frequent starts and stops. Ensuring the safety of both drivers and valuable cargo is paramount. The JAC Star X5 electric truck features a beam-frame structure with a high-strength steel usage rate of 34%, exceeding the industry average by 29%.

With a torsional stiffness of 55,674N·m/°, the truck’s deformation resistance leads the industry. It is also the first all-electric heavy-duty truck in the industry to include AEB as standard. Together with remote battery safety monitoring and OTA updates, the truck ensures multi-level safety for components, systems, and the entire vehicle, improving operational reliability and efficiency.
