On January 4, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held in Ningde, Fujian, between FAW Jiefang and CATL. Zeng Yuqun, Chairman and CEO of CATL, and Li Sheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of FAW Jiefang, attended the event and witnessed the signing. Zhao Libin, Director of the Supply and Procurement Department of FAW Jiefang, and Lai Yongjie, Executive President of CATL’s Heavy Industry Business Division, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.
According to the agreement, both parties plan to engage in comprehensive cooperation in the field of new energy commercial vehicles, efficiently integrate various advantageous resources, and collaborate in areas such as product matching, product development, technology project applications, industrial ecosystem building, and business model innovation, aiming for mutual benefits and a win-win outcome. The joint venture between FAW Jiefang and CATL, Jiefang Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., will fully support both shareholders in achieving significant growth in new energy commercial vehicle sales.
In the future, FAW Jiefang will leverage its technological leadership in new energy commercial vehicles and work with CATL to accelerate the development and popularization of commercial vehicle battery technology, driving the commercial vehicle transport industry toward full electrification at an earlier stage.
The event was attended by leaders from FAW Jiefang’s new energy vehicle and light vehicle product lines, as well as related executives from CATL.
