In April, Foton Motor sold 8,193 new energy vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 203%, achieving high-speed growth for four consecutive months. Among them, Auman new energy vehicles increased by 322% year-on-year, Omaka Zhilan new energy vehicles increased by 204% year-on-year, Aoling Zhilan new energy vehicles increased by 559% year-on-year, and Shidai new energy vehicles increased by 139% year-on-year. The leap of all categories of new energy trucks has boosted the enterprise’s high-quality transformation and development. Behind this is Foton Motor’s adherence to the ESG strategy, firm implementation of the first strategy for new energy, focusing on independent research and development of core new energy technologies and innovation of the industrial ecological model, achieving continuous growth in new energy vehicle sales.

In terms of technological innovation, Foton Motor adheres to the concept of independent research and development, and constructs a complete core technology system around the three technical routes of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel. In the field of three-electric technologies, light truck products with fully independent three-electric applications equipped with Foton Ayk’s 111kWh light power battery, light power electronics unit (PEU), and 4.5T light electric drive axle have successfully rolled off the production line, bringing users a green, intelligent, and efficient operation experience; in terms of hybrid technologies, the FHS hybrid technology platform integrates modules such as the hybrid-dedicated engine DHE, dedicated transmission DHT, and hybrid power system DHP. The self-developed 300kW hydrogen fuel cell engine has achieved three breakthroughs in “power, efficiency, and lifespan”, with an efficiency of over 63%, the ability to start in extremely cold conditions of -35°C, and a mass power density of 811W/kg, ranking at the forefront of the industry.
On the basis of achieving independent control of core new energy technologies, Foton Motor actively explores the innovation of the industrial ecological model. The all-domain smart ecological brand Ayk creates an integrated solution for the entire life cycle around the five ecological services of “energy, leasing, digital intelligence, maintenance and parts, and used cars”. Among them, the used car and digital intelligence businesses have been maturely implemented and quickly transformed into service capabilities. In April, Foton heavy trucks achieved a double growth of 121% year-on-year, far exceeding the industry’s growth rate of 9%, significantly increasing the market share, further consolidating its leading position in the market, and presenting a good situation where traditional energy and new energy products are advancing side by side.

In terms of traditional energy, Foton heavy trucks have set off a boom in the core regional markets of logistics with the Auman Galaxy series products. The product matrix composed of Auman Galaxy 9, Auman Galaxy 7, and Auman Galaxy 5 brings users efficient, intelligent, and green logistics solutions, firmly stabilizing the market base. From March to April, this series of products were successively launched in the core logistics regions such as Shandong, Henan, Anhui, and the regions of Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia. The cumulative order volume exceeded 1,000 units on the launch day.

Combined with the underlying data interconnection technology of the complete vehicle and the super power chain 5.0, it can achieve full-scenario calibration and verification. In the face of complex road conditions such as the highlands and mountains in the northwest, it can accurately adjust the vehicle speed and power output, effectively improving transportation efficiency and reducing operating costs. The Auman Galaxy 7 gas vehicle deeply integrates the gas super power chain 5.0. The exclusive gas engine is matched with the new generation of ZF transmission, with a maximum power of 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2,600N·m, with a transmission efficiency as high as 99.7%. In the field of new energy heavy trucks, Foton Auman new energy vehicles increased by 322% year-on-year in April, ranking among the top in the industry in terms of growth rate. Currently, Foton heavy trucks have completed a complete layout of the three technical routes of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel, and have created a differentiated product matrix for different scenario needs.
The pure electric route focuses on short-distance and high-frequency scenarios, successively launching platform upgrade products such as the Foton Auman Galaxy 9 bottom battery-swapping tractor, Xingyi side-hung pure electric tractor, Xingyi rear battery-swapping tractor, and Xingyi hydrogen fuel tractor, becoming a “cost-reducing weapon” for short-distance transportation in ports and steel mills. The products of the hybrid route include the Auman Xinghui 620 horsepower hybrid tractor and the Xingyi 520 horsepower hybrid tractor, covering transportation scenarios such as long-distance trunk transportation, coal transportation, short-distance transportation, cold chain transportation, and express delivery, achieving a fuel-saving rate of 16% to 26%. In April, Foton Motor exported 14,033 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%, continuing to lead the industry. At the same time, the export product structure has been continuously optimized, achieving rapid growth in the export of high-value products. Among them, Auman increased by 105% year-on-year, Omaka increased by 70%, Aoling increased by 65%, Tuya Nuo increased by 70%, and pickups increased by 116%.
Focusing on the overseas “GREEN30•30” strategic goal, Foton Motor has deeply promoted the transformation of its overseas business from trade to industrialization. In the six aspects of commodity definition, product research and development, supply chain system, manufacturing and delivery, marketing, and customer operation, it has comprehensively entered a new stage of full-value-chain localized operation. At the beginning of April, the 12 millionth complete vehicle of Foton Motor rolled off the production line at the Brazilian factory. This is another major global achievement of Foton Motor in the American market after the commissioning of the Thai factory in November 24.
