On March 1st, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “FAW Jiefang”) and Funeng Technology (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Funeng Technology”) in the field of new energy took place in Changchun, Jilin. Jiyi Zhi, a member of the FAW Jiefang Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, and Chen Binbo, General Manager of Funeng Technology, attended the event.
Both parties intend to leverage their respective leading advantages in the industry to jointly promote the development of the commercial vehicle market and the industry chain for semi-solid-state and solid-state batteries. They aim to generate economies of scale, promote battery technology innovation, and establish a strategic alliance.
During the signing ceremony, Jiyi Zhi stated that FAW Jiefang, as a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in China, would utilize its rich experience in vehicle integration, production, and market channels to provide robust support for the collaborative project. Both parties will engage in in-depth cooperation on semi-solid-state and solid-state battery projects for commercial vehicles, focusing on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle platforms, as well as specific scenarios such as long-haul transportation, urban logistics, and municipal engineering. The goal is to jointly drive the application of semi-solid-state and solid-state battery technologies in commercial vehicles, creating new energy vehicles with market competitiveness and industry-leading technology.
Chen Binbo expressed that Funeng Technology would cooperate sincerely with FAW Jiefang, providing high-quality products with market competitiveness based on their product and technological advantages. This collaboration aims to accelerate technological innovation in the field of new energy vehicles, validate products in the market, lead the transformation of new energy, and jointly outline a new blueprint for the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
Following the speeches, the General Manager and Party Secretary of FAW Jiefang’s New Energy Business Unit, Pei Guoquan, and Funeng Technology’s Sales General Manager, Zhi Bowen, signed the memorandum of cooperation on behalf of both parties. The ceremony was witnessed by the attending guests.
