On September 24, 2024, the 21st China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) grandly opened in Nanning, Guangxi. Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors showcased five flagship products at the expo, demonstrating China’s commercial vehicle innovation in cutting-edge technology to ASEAN countries and highlighting the leading position of Chenglong trucks in China’s commercial vehicle market.

The 21st CAEXPO carries forward this legacy with a new strategic emerging theme, focusing on the latest developments and technological advancements in digital technology, green low-carbon solutions, new energy, and intelligent connected vehicles.
Guangxi serves as an important gateway for trade between China and ASEAN countries. As the first automotive manufacturer in Guangxi, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors, with 70 years of development, has created several industry “firsts” in China’s automotive history and built a diversified new energy commercial vehicle portfolio that includes pure electric, hybrid, hydrogen fuel, and clean energy vehicles. At the CAEXPO outdoor exhibition area, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors displayed the Chenglong HK LNG Tractor, Chenglong H5 Integrated Charging and Swapping Tractor, and Chenglong L2V Electric Light Truck. These three models, featuring advanced technologies and superior performance, attracted significant attention from industry experts and visitors, becoming a highlight of the expo.
The Chenglong HK LNG Tractor, as the most advanced gas-powered heavy truck of the Chenglong brand, integrates top-tier “Dragon Core Power Chain” gas technology, achieving a perfect balance between high efficiency and low emissions. With its “high appearance, high comfort, powerful performance, and low gas consumption,” it sets a new benchmark for efficient operations and driving comfort.
The Chenglong H5 Integrated Charging and Swapping Tractor, designed for short-distance transportation in steel mills, power plants, and ports, combines rapid charging and convenient 5-minute battery swapping. It effectively addresses the range anxiety of new energy vehicles and has been delivered in bulk to regions such as Shanxi, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Jiangxi, and Sichuan.
The export model Chenglong L2V Right-Hand Drive Electric Light Truck, built on the latest “New Energy Light Truck Platform,” features a design tailored to right-hand drive markets. With three major advantages—”easy to drive, easy to use, and profitable”—it covers urban distribution and intercity transport, becoming a new money-making machine for short- and medium-distance transportation.
As a leading enterprise in Guangxi, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motors also exhibited two new energy and intelligent development products in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission exhibition hall: the Chenglong Phantom 3 and the Chenglong H7 Hydrogen Fuel Tractor.
The Chenglong Phantom 3, built on a pure electric platform, is the latest generation of new energy autonomous driving tractors. Unlike traditional trucks, it eliminates the need for a driver’s cabin, allowing the driver to control the vehicle remotely via a control terminal. Equipped with numerous high-tech features and a modular chassis design, it can be customized to meet the operational needs of different users.
The Chenglong H7 Hydrogen Fuel Tractor represents the cutting edge of hydrogen fuel commercial vehicle technology, offering high efficiency, environmental protection, intelligence, and energy savings. It is widely used in trunk logistics, steel metallurgy, and urban distribution transportation.
