If there is one truck brand that represents truck culture, Scania is undoubtedly the first choice. This legendary brand born in Northern Europe is renowned worldwide for its high-performance and high-quality trucks and buses. With its cool appearance and deeply resonant cultural philosophy, Scania has become the dream vehicle for many truck drivers, planting the seeds of admiration in the hearts of enthusiasts.

From September 27 to 28, 2024, at the third STC Truck Culture Festival in Jiading, Shanghai, Scania China showcased alongside dozens of Scania owners. The V8, Super, and a range of modified Scania heavy trucks were on display, prompting many attendees to snap photos.

In the outdoor exhibition area, Scania presented two heavyweight models, the 560S Super and 650S V8, for visitors to explore and experience. Scania’s professional driving training team was available to answer questions. If you’ve always dreamed of taking a photo with the V8 or experiencing the luxury of Scania’s top-tier heavy trucks up close, this was the perfect opportunity. Additionally, Scania offered free merchandise like fridge magnets, mugs, clothing, and utensils featuring Scania elements, celebrating fans’ long-standing love and support for the brand and enriching truck culture in daily life.

What, seeing them up close isn’t enough?! No problem—there were three Scania test drive vehicles available: the fully air-suspended G450, the latest 500R PRO Super, and the exhilarating V8. All models were available for testing!
With guidance from Scania’s professional driving team, participants could fully experience every intricate design detail and powerful driving sensation. How unbeatable is that experience?

Among modified trucks in Europe, Scania stands out with the richest variety of modifications and customization options. Therefore, at the STC Truck Culture Festival, we could see various modified Scanias, each one distinct and impressive with stunning lighting, intricate artwork, and dazzling wheels.

Scania has always regarded personalized vehicle paint jobs as an indispensable element of truck culture. Among the official model photos, many feature beautifully painted trucks, including limited editions of the V8 model that sport custom designs like the Chinese dragon.

Simultaneously, vehicle artwork is the most direct reflection of a truck owner’s love for their vehicle. At the event, many Scania heavy trucks sported unique artistic designs painted by their owners, complemented by lighting, side skirts, marker lights, and bumpers, creating a stunning visual wherever they were parked.

Mr. David, Managing Director of Scania Sales China, stated in his opening speech: “The STC Truck Culture Festival is an unprecedented event that not only creates an interactive platform for truck enthusiasts but also powerfully promotes Chinese truck culture. As a leading provider of transport solutions, Scania understands that trucks are not merely tools for transportation. We introduced the concept of truck culture to China back in 2010, encouraging Scania drivers to build a positive connection with their trucks. We continuously inspire emotional ties between drivers and trucks, allowing this unique culture to take root in China.”

The STC Truck Culture Festival has been held three times now, consistently attracting new faces from across the country, expanding this large group dedicated to spreading truck culture.
Through the festival and Scania’s promotion of truck culture, more people can appreciate the unique industrial beauty brought by these massive machines, gradually dispelling the negative impressions of trucks. At this moment, accompanied by the graceful soaring of the Swedish eagle on the Shanghai International Circuit, the beautiful sounds of horns from across the ocean resonate, elevating Chinese truck culture to new heights!
