On November 5, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially opened in Shanghai. Li Qiang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Yuchai presented its innovative achievements, including China’s first hydrogen-fueled commercial vehicle engine K05H and a hybrid electric-driven intelligent agricultural machinery system.
This year’s CIIE features the theme “Promoting Chinese-style Modernization and Advancing Global Development and Prosperity” in the China Pavilion, showcasing the latest achievements in advancing Chinese-style modernization and promoting high-level opening-up.
As a leading enterprise in China’s power industry, Yuchai presented multiple cutting-edge innovative products at the “Magnificent Guangxi Theme Pavilion” at the expo, highlighting its achievements and strengths in the field of green intelligent technology.
Among them, Yuchai’s self-developed hydrogen-fueled engine K05H, the first of its kind for commercial vehicles in China, became the focal point of the exhibition. It incorporates several advanced technologies, including high-pressure multi-point injection, high-efficiency low-inertia turbocharging, and efficient lean combustion. These innovations have successfully overcome common technical challenges in hydrogen fuel engines, such as backfire and knock. Compared to traditional fuel cell commercial vehicles, the Yuchai K05H hydrogen-fueled engine reduces manufacturing costs by 70%, operational costs by 50%, and extends its service life by 400% compared to conventional technologies. This engine is suitable for buses, sanitation vehicles, and logistics delivery, with a zero-carbon emission feature that injects new momentum into the green transformation of urban public transportation.
In the agricultural sector, Yuchai’s subsidiary Xingwang Zhiyun launched a hybrid electric-driven intelligent agricultural machinery system, an innovative product in the agricultural machinery industry. This intelligent hybrid system integrates advanced intelligent control concepts and technologies, offering powerful autonomous control functions. It covers aspects such as intelligent engine control and intelligent coordination between machines. The system not only significantly improves operational efficiency but also effectively reduces fuel consumption, helping users save operating costs and providing a new solution for sustainable agricultural development.
It is reported that this year’s CIIE has an exhibition area of over 420,000 square meters, with 152 countries, regions, and international organizations participating in national and enterprise exhibitions. A total of 297 Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders are exhibiting, setting a new historical record.
