On February 26th, BYD, together with its partner Al-Futtaim, officially launched its new energy commercial vehicle models in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), contributing to the development of local green commercial transportation. The launch event was grandly held at the InterContinental Hotel in DIFC, Dubai. Guests from the government, industry leaders, media representatives, and other sectors gathered to witness the official debut of BYD commercial vehicles in the UAE market.
The BYD 12-meter pure electric bus B12 made a live appearance at the event.
The four pure electric commercial vehicle models launched this time cover light-duty and medium-duty commercial trucks as well as pure electric buses, meeting the needs of multiple scenarios such as urban logistics, long-distance transportation, and public transportation. All of them are equipped with BYD’s advanced Blade Battery technology, boasting ultra-fast charging capabilities and extremely long driving ranges, providing UAE commercial vehicle users with safe, intelligent, and environmentally friendly new energy solutions.
The models launched this time include:
- ETM6 pure electric truck – With a load capacity of 3.6 tons, it is a long-wheelbase, high-performance urban logistics vehicle equipped with a 126 kWh battery, offering stronger load-bearing capacity and driving range performance.
- EV light-duty truck T5 – With a load capacity of 4 tons and equipped with a 132 kWh battery, it is specifically designed for flexible urban distribution, facilitating efficient logistics transportation.
- EV medium-duty truck ETH8 – With a load capacity of 10 tons and equipped with a 255 kWh battery, it meets the needs of heavy-duty commercial tasks and provides stronger power support for enterprises.
- B12 pure electric bus – A 12-meter urban bus equipped with a 425 kWh battery, with a driving range of up to 550 kilometers, providing a zero-emission solution for public transportation.
