Recently, FOTON Motor made a powerful appearance at the major Latin American transportation event, “Así Vivimos Expo Transporte 2025.” During the exhibition, FOTON not only showcased its cutting-edge technology and new product lineup, attracting the attention of thousands of visitors who experienced the innovations firsthand, but also engaged in dynamic demonstrations and strategic discussions. This allowed FOTON to reaffirm its strong commitment to driving the future of transportation for customers, partners, and media from Mexico and Latin America.

On the first day of the exhibition, FOTON Motor held a grand press conference, officially launching its flagship innovation — the intelligent heavy truck, FOTON GALAXUS 9, to the global market. The debut of this vehicle marks a significant step forward for FOTON in the heavy commercial vehicle sector, particularly in the integration of new energy and intelligent technologies. It highlights FOTON’s commitment to delivering transformative transportation solutions to the Mexican and Latin American markets.
All-Scene Intelligence: GALAXUS 9 Redefines the Value Boundaries of Heavy Trucks
The GALAXUS 9 sets a new benchmark in the heavy truck sector with its systemic innovations. In terms of core power, the GALAXUS 9 leverages FOTON’s Galaxus Intelligent Architecture to support multiple energy pathways. The fuel/gas versions are equipped with the next-gen SuperPowertrain 5.0 and the “intelligent brain” VCU, effectively reducing fuel and gas consumption, with a transmission efficiency of up to 99.7%. The pure electric version features an efficient, lightweight electric drive axle, megawatt-level charging, and highly integrated electric control technology. Combined with an advanced three-electric system, it significantly enhances battery life and charging efficiency, ensuring both extended range and safety.

The GALAXUS 9’s cockpit creates an all-scenario comfortable space. The multi-screen interactive interface is smooth to operate, while the wooden flat floor offers a sleek, easy-to-maintain design. Library-grade noise reduction technology effectively isolates external sounds, and the zero-gravity seats help alleviate fatigue on long journeys. It also features a hidden automatic air-conditioning system, a panoramic sunroof, and a multi-space ecological connectivity system, all contributing to a comfortable and convenient driving experience. The expandable sleeper width reaches up to 1240mm, easily accommodating two people for a comfortable rest.

The GALAXUS 9’s intelligent cockpit is the first in the commercial vehicle industry to implement 100Mbps Ethernet. It’s equipped with a comprehensive perception system, including 10 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 1 LiDAR, and high-performance domain controllers, enabling advanced driver assistance features like HWP for smooth, high-speed navigation. This system effectively handles various scenarios in long-distance transport, reducing driver workload, and is particularly suited for the demanding requirements of logistics in the Americas. Additionally, its intelligent cockpit integrates over 800 infotainment features, more than 400 data connectivity services, and 500 safety protections. Through deep human-vehicle interaction and comprehensive vehicle management capabilities, it ensures that every transport journey is effortless and enjoyable, significantly enhancing operational value.
Focusing on the market, FOTON drives long-term growth with localized solutions
FOTON Motor has consistently focused on steady growth and strategic development in the Latin American and Mexican markets. In response to the ongoing demand for large-scale operations and efficient long-distance logistics, high-adaptability, high-performance products like the GALAXUS 9 are a perfect fit. During the exhibition, FOTON reaffirmed its long-term commitment to local manufacturing and new energy development in Mexico, with plans to build a factory by 2026. This facility will have the capacity to produce new energy vehicles, including pickup trucks, with an annual production target of around 12,000 units. As part of its global strategy, this factory will not only play a key role in capacity expansion but also serve as an important hub for FOTON’s reach into both the Latin American and global markets. FOTON is deeply integrating into the Latin American market through its “industry chain collaboration” approach, enhancing its full value chain presence locally to create greater value for regional customers.

Looking ahead, FOTON Motor will continue to drive innovation through technology, with a strong focus on customer needs. By introducing new products and implementing a localized manufacturing strategy, FOTON aims to work closely with its partners in Mexico and Latin America to propel the transportation industry towards a more efficient, safer, and sustainable future.
