From September 21st to 24th, the 9th NEVC2024 China New Energy Logistics Vehicle Challenge officially kicked off in Chongqing. This competition directly addressed the demands of application scenarios and the real concerns of users, truly selecting the best products for the market and users. As the largest performance competition in China’s new energy logistics vehicle industry, the NEVC2024 China New Energy Logistics Vehicle Challenge conducted objective performance evaluations focusing on core technical indicators such as energy efficiency, range, power, braking, and load capacity. Additionally, the event introduced subjective evaluation categories (including handling, design, comfort, etc.), offering a comprehensive assessment of the overall quality of new energy logistics vehicles, further supporting the development of green logistics.

The T5EV and T5DM light trucks form a product layout of “pure electric + hybrid,” offering a comprehensive solution for urban green logistics. The T5 series tackled various real-world working conditions such as hill climbs, water wading, acceleration, and braking, showcasing the model’s transportation capacity and logistics value with solid data.
The T5DM, based on the world’s first flat wire motor integrated axle, boasts a peak power of 150kW, easily conquering an 18% gradient in real-world tests with its strong power. In terms of braking performance, the T5DM is equipped with the industry’s first light truck BSC brake system, shortening braking distances and ensuring driving safety.
Additionally, load capacity, a key evaluation criterion for logistics vehicles, allows this vehicle to stand out with its high-safety lightweight design, offering a cargo volume of 18m³ for more payload. Based on the comprehensive scores in energy efficiency, range, power, and braking, the T5DM was awarded the “All-around Gold Award,” fully verifying the recognition of its product strength by the industry, market, and users.
Thanks to BYD’s independently developed core three-electric technology, the T5EV not only performed excellently in various tests but also gained unanimous praise from the audience for its high comfort, high economy, and high maneuverability.
