November 6–8, the 2024 Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE 2024) was held, with BYD participating as the largest exhibitor. BYD showcased a wide array of products and cutting-edge technologies, including the brand-new double-decker bus B12DS, the T9R electric heavy-duty truck, the Prime Mover electric tractor, and collaborative products such as the autonomous bus AV.

Tian Chunlong, General Manager of BYD Commercial Vehicle Division, stated: “We are thrilled to present BYD’s latest pure electric double-decker bus and trucks at SITCE 2024, showcasing advanced technologies and products to a broader audience. Together with our partners, we are committed to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable public transportation solutions for the local market.”
Making its debut, the BYD B12DS double-decker bus was specifically designed to meet the needs of the Singapore market. The vehicle is equipped with a 541.9kWh battery, offering a maximum range of 350 kilometers. It measures 11.9 meters in length, accommodates up to 120 passengers, and features a low-floor design with three doors, dual staircases, an automatic boarding ramp, and a camera-based rearview mirror system. Additionally, the bus is powered by BYD’s signature Blade Battery and a newly developed double-decker bus platform, which offers global users customized services, ensuring safety and efficiency while promoting green travel options.
Meanwhile, BYD’s single-decker electric bus B12 has already become an integral part of Singapore’s public transportation system. In May 2024, BYD successfully won a procurement bid from the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA), securing an order for 300 units, further advancing Singapore’s sustainable transportation goals.

At the event, BYD also held a ceremonial signing for the first batch of 100 T9R electric heavy-duty trucks in partnership with Inchcape, marking BYD’s largest single electric heavy-duty truck order in Singapore. The vehicles are expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2025, contributing to the Singapore government’s Green Plan 2030.

The T9R, BYD’s first electric heavy-duty truck equipped with Blade Battery technology for commercial vehicles, made its debut at the exhibition. The truck offers a range of up to 320 kilometers and excels in safety, reliability, and performance. It is designed for applications such as sanitation, construction transport, and urban logistics, paving the way for a cleaner, greener future in Singapore.

Other exhibited products included the Prime Mover electric tractor, co-developed autonomous buses, and Blade Batteries, all of which impressed professional visitors from the logistics and urban transportation sectors with their high safety, cost efficiency, and advanced technologies.
