The Asia Pacific Continental Final of the Scania Top Team came to a close in Bangkok, Thailand on January 31. Top technician teams from 7 countries competed head-to-head in a contest of wisdom, technical skill and teamwork. In the end, the “Rainbow Warriors” from Scania Shanghai Ruibao in China claimed the championship with a first-place finish, seizing the precious spot to advance to the Scania Top Team Global Final!

The Road to Glory: From China Champions to Asia Pacific Kings
The Rainbow Warriors’ title run has been a steady journey of advancement. As early as the Scania Top Team China Final in July 2025, they dominated five competing teams with the highest score to be crowned national champions. On this expedition to Bangkok, they carried forward their outstanding form against tough opponents from across the Asia Pacific region.

The competition featured five challenging stages that comprehensively tested the teams’ theoretical knowledge, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting capabilities, covering written assessments and hands-on operations for both truck and bus engines and vehicle systems. Each stage was a 20-minute race against the clock with a maximum score of 50 points, demanding not only exquisite individual craftsmanship from each technician, but also seamless coordination and efficient communication among all team members.
Strength in Action: Glory Forged by Sweat, Excellence Defined by Teamwork
“All the sweat and effort have paid off at this moment!” said Zhuang Hewei, Team Leader of the Rainbow Warriors, unable to contain his excitement after the victory. “We are immensely proud to win the championship and secure our place in the global final. This honor belongs to every moment of our day-and-night research, to the unspoken understanding between teammates that needs just a single glance, and most of all, to the solid support from the Scania Shanghai Ruibao team and the Scania China Training team. Our training has borne fruit, and we are thrilled to represent Scania China’s service technicians on the world stage!”

These sincere and heartfelt words were vividly validated during the competition, where the team demonstrated extraordinary dynamism and adaptability. In the third stage, through intense and highly efficient collaboration, the members completed all challenges in just 15 minutes – finishing 5 minutes ahead of schedule – and earned an impressive score of 47 points. The victory boosted the team’s morale, driving them to perform even better in subsequent stages. Even when faced with the relatively unfamiliar challenge of troubleshooting a bus system fault in the final stage, they delivered a strong score of 43 points by virtue of their solid foundational skills and quick thinking.
Their ultimate championship score of 191 points is not only a victory for the Chinese team, but also a vivid embodiment of Scania’s service philosophy of professionalism, collaboration and innovation. Their success stems from an uncompromising pursuit of service quality, a profound understanding of technology, and an unwavering spirit of teamwork and perseverance. Looking Ahead: Representing China at the Global Final in Sweden
The victory in Bangkok has locked in the Rainbow Warriors’ spot at the Scania Top Team Global Final, to be held at Scania’s headquarters in Södertälje, Sweden. This May, they will join elite Scania service teams from across the globe – including South America, North America and Europe – to compete for the ultimate glory of the global championship.
