On July 24th, the FAW Trucks 2025 Mid-Year Channel Communication Conference – Qingdao Medium & Heavy-Duty Truck Branch, themed “Co-creation, Progress, Win-win, and Sharing”, was grandly held in Qingdao. At the mid-year conference, FAW Trucks QingDao exhibited over 20 new medium and heavy-duty truck models and released the all-new Eagle Array series products. What products will FAW Trucks QingDao focus on promoting in the future, and what product configuration updates will there be? YingTu First Class TIR Custom Tractor:
As the flagship product of FAW Trucks QingDao and the “top dog” of the Eagle Array series, the FAW YingTu First Class model naturally has top-tier configurations. It adopts the industry’s largest single cab with a high-roof flat-floor structure, providing an internal space of 6㎡. This vehicle is a TIR transport custom model, which enhances adaptability in cross-border ultra-long-distance transportation through designs such as canceling the rear window, increasing in-cab heat preservation, standardizing original factory diesel heating, 315 tires, low saddle, and chassis anti-corrosion.
In terms of power, it is equipped with the Faw Power CA6DN2 engine, with a maximum horsepower of 680 and a torque of up to 3200N.m, matched with a ZF TRAXON 12-speed AMT gearbox and a Jiefang 465 long oil change axle. The axle ratio is 3.077, and it applies airbag suspension, EBS, and full-disc brakes.
YingTu Business Class 2*1500L Cylinder LNG Tractor:
Under the general trend of converting from oil to gas in long-distance routes, users have higher requirements for the range of natural gas vehicles. FAW YingTu has also launched a dual-cylinder version of gas-powered products. It adopts a rear-stacked 2*1500L cylinder layout, with an industry-leading total capacity of 3000L, which can support the vehicle’s range of over 3500km.
In terms of power, FAW YingTu uses FAW Power’s independently developed large-displacement gas engine, model CA6SX1, with a 16-liter displacement, maximum 660 horsepower, and a peak torque of up to 3000N.m. It is matched with FAW’s new Changxing version AMT gearbox, Voith hydraulic retarder, and a rear axle with a 2.688 ratio, with full-disc brakes.
YingTu 8X4 Freedom Edition NG Truck:
Although YingTu is a flagship product, it also has a cost-effective model, which is the Freedom Edition. The Freedom Edition truck product adopts a business class cab, with a designed speed of 89km/h, full-vehicle lightweight design, and separate optimization for truck working conditions.
The Freedom Edition NG truck is powered by LNG, using the industry’s largest side-mounted dual 750L cylinders with a total capacity of 1500L, providing a range of over 2000km and reducing refueling times. In terms of power, it is equipped with a FAW Power 6SN2 gas engine with 580 horsepower, matched with FAW Changxing version AMT and hydraulic retarder, and the axle is a 3.417 ratio long oil change axle.
FAW YingHang Smart Honor L Edition NG Tractor:
The new JH6 heavy truck released at the beginning of the year was renamed FAW YingHang, with the same product configuration as before. The Smart Honor L tractor cab adopts a pure flat-floor extended cab with a high roof, Tiffany blue youthful color scheme, 6㎡ internal space, 1.2-meter-wide berth, and 1150L super large storage space. At the same time, intelligent configurations such as mobile phone remote control, Grammer MSG115 seat, 15.6-inch vehicle machine screen, and new interior are added to bring a high-end car experience.
In terms of power, it is equipped with FAW Power CA6SX1 gas engine with a maximum of 660 horsepower, matched with FAW T-Shift AMT gearbox, 600,000-kilometer long oil change 440 axle, rear axle ratio 2.867, and front disc and rear drum braking. It should be noted that because the cab of this vehicle is longer, the wheelbase becomes 4500mm + 1350mm.
FAW YingHang Smart Honor Edition NG Tractor:
The FAW YingHang Smart Honor Edition adopts a standard high-roof pure flat-floor cab with a new Dishiqing color scheme. Its internal space is 5㎡, the berth width is 935mm, and the storage space is 750L. The interior and intelligent configurations are basically the same as the Smart Honor L version, and the seat is standard with Adient airbag shock-absorbing seat.
In terms of chassis configuration, the Smart Honor Edition is basically the same as the Smart Honor L, with CA6SX1 gas engine, 660 horsepower, and FAW T-Shift AMT gearbox, but the rear axle is not a 600,000-kilometer long oil change one, and the wheelbase is not lengthened, which is the common 4200mm wheelbase for gas vehicles.
FAW YingHang Smart Enjoy Edition Tractor:
Compared with the Smart Honor Edition, the Jiefang Eagle Air Smart Enjoy Edition has lower configurations and is a series focusing on cost-effectiveness in the YingHang product line. The grille of the Smart Enjoy Edition is one step less than that of the Smart Honor Edition, and there is a small bulge on the floor inside like the JH6, but it is also a high-roof flat-floor cab with large space. The interior style of the cab is the same, with a 12.3-inch vehicle machine screen, 935mm berth width, and 750L storage space.
FAW YingHang adopts a product strategy of dual power sources (fuel and gas). The exhibited Smart Enjoy Edition model is a fuel version, equipped with FAW Power CA6DV1, a new 13.2L in-line six-cylinder engine, with a maximum of 640 horsepower and a peak torque of 3000N.m. It is matched with FAW T-Shift AMT gearbox and 440 axle, with an axle ratio of 2.867.
FAW YingHang 8X4 NG Truck:
High-end trucks have always been popular models in segmented fields such as green transportation, aquatic products, and refrigeration. FAW YingHang also has corresponding products, and can provide two versions: Smart Honor and Smart Enjoy. The exhibited vehicle has a Smart Enjoy Edition cab, equipped with 900mm berth, high-quality ventilated seats and other home-like facilities.
In terms of power, it is equipped with FAW Power CA6SM7 new gas engine with 536 horsepower, matched with FAW’s self-developed upgraded gearbox, 435 rear axle, and ratio 2.867. It is standard with full-vehicle ConMet wheel ends, lithium batteries, 20/200,000-kilometer long oil change for the box and axle, equipped with V-push 4-airbag air suspension, and the total vehicle and cargo weight is increased to 32 tons.
FAW YingTeng NG Tractor:
FAW YingTengr, nicknamed “Little yingtu”, can be understood as the new generation product of the previous JH6 Excellence Edition. It adds technological elements to the classic JH6 family face, and the headlights are replaced with YingTu’s same LED integrated lamp group. The interior of the cab is upgraded to a flat floor, with a standing height of 1960mm and a berth width of 905mm, further upgrading the comfort experience.
In terms of power, it is equipped with FAW Power’s latest gas engine CA6SM7 with 536 horsepower, matched with FAW T-Shift automatic gearbox with hydraulic retarder. The rear axle is FAW 435 axle with a ratio of 3.7, wheelbase 3800mm + 1350mm, and the weight of the gas vehicle is 8.6t.
FAW YingTeng Fuel Version Tractor:
FAW YingTeng is basically comparable to mid-to-high-end tractor products of other brands, and the fuel version is positioned towards long-distance trunk line users who pursue cost-effectiveness.
In terms of power chain combination, YingTeng is equipped with Faw Power CA6DV1 engine with 580 horsepower, matched with FAW T-Shift AMT gearbox and an axle with a ratio of 2.688, forming a power chain combination of large horsepower + direct gear + small ratio. The rear axle of the fuel version adopts 2 leaf springs to further reduce the weight, and the weight of the fuel version is as low as 7.85t.
FAW YingChi NG Tractor:
FAW YingChi can actually be understood as the successor to previous products such as Han VH and JH5, positioned as resource-based transportation and cost-effective models, using the JH6 Excellence Edition cab, but in the medium-sized version. The appearance of YingChi adopts a new design style, with the front grille 展开 in the form of “eagle wings”, and the radial lines are like flapping wings, with a strong sense of hierarchy.
In terms of power, the gas version of YingChi is equipped with FAW CA6SM6 gas engine with 506 horsepower, matched with FAW T-Shift manual gearbox with hydraulic retarder, rear axle 425 lightweight axle, ratio 3.7. This set of power chain is completely built for resource-based transportation on national highways to save gas. At the same time, the total vehicle weight of 8.26 tons is also a relatively eye-catching data.
FAW YingChi Fuel Version Tractor:
The FAW YingChi fuel version inherits the advantages of previous V-series and JH5 products in the segmented markets of medium-short distance transportation and short-distance transfer transportation. The interior of the cab is designed with a quasi-flat floor, with a standing height of 1820mm, an added side toolbox, the storage space in the cab reaches 395L, the berth width is 910mm, the instrument panel height is 820mm, and the upper viewing angle is increased by 57%.
The fuel version is equipped with the classic CA6DM2 Aowei 11-liter engine, 490 horsepower + 12-speed overdrive gearbox and 3.7 ratio axle, which also has high adaptability and economy to medium and low-speed national highway and high-speed working conditions. Moreover, the weight of the diesel version is only 7.4t, achieving extreme lightweight.
FAW YingChi Engineering Vehicle:
It is the first time that Jiefang has included engineering vehicles in the release of a new product lineup, which fully demonstrates the important position and product value of the YingChi series engineering vehicles. The new engineering vehicle products solve the shortcomings of previous V-series and JH6 series in actual working conditions, and improve important components such as girders and steel plates to better adapt to complex working conditions. The YingChi engineering vehicle adopts a separate appearance design, combining the muscular style with the tough image of engineering vehicles to create an exclusive appearance for engineering vehicles.
In terms of power, the YingChi engineering vehicle is equipped with Faw Power CA6DK2 engine with 350 horsepower, matched with a 10-speed manual gearbox and 260 wheel reduction axle. In the future, models with larger engines and 12-speed gearboxes will also be launched.
FAW YingChi 6.8m Cargo Truck:
From the comprehensive coverage of medium and heavy truck models such as tractors, engineering vehicles, and trucks, it can be seen that FAW YingChi will be one of Faw’s main products in the future. The exhibited FAW YingChi 6.8m truck uses the same medium-sized quasi-flat floor high-roof cab as the tractor, with four-point airbag suspension, which has strong market competitiveness in terms of comfort compared with 6.8m trucks of the same level.
In terms of power, it is equipped with Faw Power 6DK2 engine, 7.8L displacement, 320 horsepower, maximum support 380 horsepower, can be matched with 8-speed and 10-speed gearboxes, and the rear axle is 378 cast axle with a ratio of 3.7. In fact, the power chain matching of this vehicle is quite rich, and the conditions for large horsepower, more load, and fast running are also met. The engine, box, and axle have 10/10/100,000-kilometer long oil change, fatigue monitoring, front axle FAG maintenance-free wheel end, rear axle oil-lubricated wheel end. The whole vehicle is safe and reliable, with a long maintenance cycle, ensuring high attendance rate for users.
FAW JH6 400-degree Battery Swap Tractor:
More and more users in port transportation are switching from oil to electricity. Electric heavy trucks have significant cost advantages in short-distance transfer or cross-city working conditions. In the port tractor market with mainstream 282-degree and 350-degree, FAW JH6 has launched a 400-degree port tractor with battery swap. Calculated at an energy consumption of 1.3 degrees per kilometer, 400 degrees of electricity can provide a range of over 300km. It does not need to be charged for a whole day in urban short-distance transfer working conditions, and cross-city routes can also ensure operational efficiency with battery swap stations midway.
It is equipped with FAW’s self-developed permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a rated power of 270kw and a peak power of 420kw, matched with Fast 6E240 electric vehicle-specific AMT gearbox, rear axle 498 stamped and welded axle, ratio 4.444, with differential lock. The weight of this vehicle is 9.5t, and the 4000-degree electricity + battery swap frame weighs 3 tons, which shows the leading lightweight technology of Jiefang.
FAW JH6 528-degree Tractor:
Large-capacity electric tractors are a market trend, and Jiefang’s 466-degree and 528-degree tractors have always been popular categories in new energy tractors. The Jiefang JH6 528-degree electric tractor is equipped with CATL’s latest fourth-generation lithium iron phosphate battery, with a range of up to 400km, a battery cycle life of 4500 times, dual-gun 600A charging current, and the battery SOC can be increased from 20% to 80% in less than 50 minutes.
It is equipped with FAW’s self-developed high-power motor with two power options: rated 270/peak 420kw, rated 350/peak 500kw, matched with Fast 6E240A-D electric-specific AMT gearbox and 435 stamped and welded axle, with an axle ratio of 5.143, suitable for pulling heavy goods such as steel, coils, and ores.
FAW JH6 New Energy Heavy-duty Dump Truck:
Many heavy-duty dump trucks have also begun to electrify, but looking at the current electric heavy-duty dump trucks, it must be said that Jiefang JH6 has the most abundant configurations. For example, this vehicle can provide two drive forms: 8X4 and 6X4, and three battery layouts: rear battery, side-hung battery, and rear battery swap. The power capacity options are 282 degrees, 350 degrees, 400 degrees, and 600 degrees.
It is equipped with CRRC motor with high-speed rail quality, peak power 500kw, torque 2800N.m, matched with Fast 6E240 gearbox and 300 wheel reduction axle, with an axle ratio as high as 6.733. The whole vehicle uses 12.00R20 18-ply steel tires, reinforced girders, leaf springs, and rims.
FAW JK6 Flat-floor Truck:
The long-awaited flat-floor product of FAW JK6 has finally come out, and I believe many users have been looking forward to it for a long time. This vehicle is a 9.8m single-axle express truck chassis, adopting a new flat-floor high-roof cab, with a floor height of 20cm, a standing space of over 180cm in the cab, high-roof double berths, and a storage space capacity of 260L.
In terms of power, it is equipped with a new FAW Power CA4DK2 energy-saving engine, 4-cylinder 5.2L displacement, maximum 260 horsepower, balancing fuel consumption and power. It is matched with Fast 8-speed manual gearbox and 4.333 ratio axle, with system fuel saving, resulting in lower fuel consumption.
FAW JK6 Electric Truck:
The electric coverage in the express industry is also gradually increasing. After the full coverage of 4.2m, it is time for the 9.7m single-axle for urban branch lines or adjacent city routes. Therefore, FAW JK6 has launched a 246-degree single-axle truck. Equipped with CATL 246-degree lithium iron phosphate battery, with a comprehensive working condition of 0.7kwh/km, it can achieve a range of over 300km.
This vehicle is equipped with a FAW CAM365PT51 motor with a power of 171kw, a Tebeka TS-0412 AMT gearbox, a 378 cast axle, and a rear axle ratio of 4.11. It is also equipped with widened brakes to solve the problem of weak braking in single-axle models.
Faw JK6 Lightweight Electric Muck Truck:
The concept of an intelligent muck truck is thoroughly implemented in this Faw JK6 lightweight electric muck truck. Because it is equipped with the Yukuai Lantu fleet management system and the Internet of Vehicles platform, it can real-time check vehicle positioning, vehicle trajectory replay, electronic fence service, mileage energy consumption, risk statistics & event statistics, and assist in remote diagnosis and operation efficiency analysis, perfectly integrating electrification and intelligence.
This vehicle is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries, supporting rear-mounted and side-mounted layouts. The battery capacities are available in three options: 262 kWh, 310 kWh, and 352 kWh. The battery uses a FAW CAM400PT53 motor with a peak power of 400kw and a torque of 2500N.m.
FAW JK6 New Energy Feed Transport Vehicle:
The characteristics of feed transportation are low density and large volume. Moreover, the roads to the farms are long and not easy to travel, so there are relatively high requirements for the vehicle chassis and range. The upper body size of the FAW JK6 feed transport vehicle is 9300×2530×2650 (mm), with a volume of 31m³. The total vehicle weight is 14.7 tons, which is 600Kg lower than similar products. Lightweight waterproof front and rear axles, 3/3/rubber suspension design, achieving lightweight while meeting working condition requirements.
This vehicle is equipped with a FAW CAM400PT52 motor. The peak power of the motor is 420kw, which is equivalent to 570PS in horsepower, so there is no problem with heavy-load climbing. The comprehensive electric consumption of the whole vehicle is 1.3 kWh per kilometer. It uses a CATL 310.64kWh side-mounted battery to ensure a full-load driving range of >200Km. It supports 500A dual-gun fast charging, and can be fully charged in 1 hour. It has a 4500-cycle/8-year lifespan.
FAW JK6 Sanitation Vehicle:
The FAW JK6 sanitation vehicle focuses on product reliability and attendance rate. The chassis is painted twice, with enhanced waterproof design to meet the requirements of long-term humid environments. The engine, gearbox, and axle have long oil change intervals of 60,000/60,000/60,000 kilometers, considering both economy and saving maintenance time. It is equipped with a FAW Power CA4DK2 engine, which has strong power and low noise, meeting the requirement of strong power output for low-speed travel. The actual volume of the upper body can reach 14.3m³. It can spray forward and sprinkle backward, with side spraying, and is equipped with a workbench.
