On April 9th, GAC Hino Motors Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “GAC Hino”) and GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “GAC Energy”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Guangzhou and jointly released the energy strategic plan for GAC commercial vehicles. The two sides will carry out in – depth cooperation around the construction of the energy ecosystem for GAC commercial vehicles, jointly promote the construction of the new energy commercial vehicle charging network and the implementation of the “vehicle – charging – pile coordination” strategy, jointly solve the industry problem of insufficient charging networks for new energy commercial vehicles, and boost the green development process of new energy commercial vehicles.

Aligning with GAC Commercial Vehicles’ “135 Strategy”, Launching the “Four – Way Collaboration” Strategic Cooperation Model for New Energy Commercial Vehicles
The release of the GAC commercial vehicle energy strategy is the beginning of GAC Group’s “2⁶ Energy Action” in the commercial vehicle field and an important part of the implementation of Gac commercial vehicles’ “135” development strategy. By integrating the resource advantages of GAC Group’s entire industry chain, it further deepens the three engines of Gac commercial vehicles: “intelligent manufacturing + industrial alliance + user ecosystem”, promoting the development of the Guangqi commercial vehicle industry.

The deepening cooperation between GAC Hino and GAC Energy will give full play to the respective advantages of the vehicle – side and the charging – pile – side. Through the new “Four – Way Collaboration” strategic cooperation model, they aim to achieve a full – ecological solution of “buying GAC vehicles and using GAC charging piles”.
Ecological Co – construction: Creating a New Paradigm of Intelligent Vehicle – Charging – Piles
In this cooperation, with the “GAC Commercial Vehicle Energy Strategic Plan” as the core, the two sides put forward the goal of building a charging network with “10,000 charging piles by 2030”. They focus on four core charging networks: the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area, the northern mining area charging network, the central trunk – line charging network, and the eastern port charging network. Through the synchronous planning of vehicle sales and the charging network, they aim to achieve “building charging piles wherever the vehicles are sold”, solving the problem of “difficult charging” for new energy commercial vehicle customers.
Vehicle – Charging – Pile Interconnection: Opening up New Scenarios for New Energy Commercial Vehicles
The charging network is a key issue restricting the electrification of commercial vehicles. Through the full – link technical interconnection between vehicles and charging piles and the coordinated layout of vehicles and charging piles, they will achieve full – stack independent research and development of core product technologies from the vehicle – side to the charging – pile – side, realizing the integrated and coordinated development of vehicles and charging piles. Currently, new energy commercial vehicles are mainly used in short – distance bulk transportation scenarios within 300 km. With the gradual improvement of vehicle – charging – pile coordination and the charging network, the application scenarios of new energy commercial vehicles in medium – and long – distance transportation will also be further opened up.

Platform Interconnection: Building a New Hub for the Smart Energy Ecosystem
The two sides will jointly build the GAC Commercial Vehicle Energy Information Management Platform, open up data interfaces, and achieve full – dimensional information sharing such as vehicle – charging – pile status and energy scheduling. This will reduce vehicle charging waiting time, improve the utilization rate of charging piles, and maximize the help for customers to improve vehicle operation efficiency.
Through the smart energy management platform, a new model of data interconnection of “vehicle – charging – pile – network – terminal” will be constructed, providing users with green travel guarantees that are “more time – saving, more cost – saving, and safer”.

Resource Sharing: Providing a One – Stop New Solution
At present, GAC Energy has built and put into use more than 11,000 DC charging terminals, and the interconnected charging stations have reached more than 800,000 piles. GAC commercial vehicle users can seamlessly access GAC Energy’s charging network of over 800,000 piles and enjoy the same high – quality charging services as passenger vehicle users, which are “fast, extensive, and convenient”.
The strategic cooperation between the two sides will also provide a one – stop solution of “vehicle purchase + charging + finance”, offering financial support such as “zero – down – payment charging – station investment” for GAC commercial vehicle users and exclusive charging service fee discounts. Taking light – truck users as an example, this strategic cooperation will fully open the charging rights of Guangqi Energy charging stations to Guangqi commercial vehicle light – truck users, who can enjoy a 15% discount on charging service fees.
A Grand Signing Ceremony was Held to Share the Vision of Green Development
Zhang Zhiyong, General Manager of GAC Hino, Liu Zhihui, General Manager of GAC Energy, and other leaders from both sides jointly attended and witnessed the signing ceremony. During the event, the participating guests visited the smart charging facilities and production lines of GAC Energy and had in – depth exchanges on the cooperation directions and implementation paths for the construction of the commercial vehicle energy ecosystem.

GAC Hino and GAC Energy will take this strategic cooperation as a new starting point, continuously deepen innovative collaboration in areas such as new energy infrastructure construction, smart energy platform development, and regional market expansion. They will give full play to the advantages of GAC Group’s entire industry chain. Through the construction of an integrated service system of “vehicle – charging – pile – network – terminal”, they will jointly create a competitive commercial vehicle energy ecosystem in the industry.
This cooperation will accelerate the realization of the “135” development strategic goals of GAC commercial vehicles and set a new example for promoting the green transformation and high – quality development of China’s commercial vehicle industry.
