On May 22, Zhixin Technology, a subsidiary of the Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, announced that its self-developed Xuanyuan Battery has taken the lead in passing the full certification of GB38031-2025 Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles and obtained a national dual-certification system test report. It has become one of the first commercial vehicle power battery brands in the industry to pass the new national standard certification for battery safety, marking that the safety performance of the Xuanyuan Battery is at the leading level in the industry.
GB38031-2025 Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on April 3, 2025. It sets strict technical indicators for the safety performance of power batteries and is known as the “strictest battery safety order in history” by the industry. The Xuanyuan Battery successfully passed all new technical indicator assessments in the certification test – withstanding a bottom impact from a 30mm-diameter, 10kg steel ball with 150 joules of energy, the battery pack showed no leakage, cracking, or fire. Additionally, after thermal runaway was triggered externally, there was no fire or explosion, and the temperature at all monitoring points remained below 60°C within 2 hours.
As early as in the R&D and testing phase, the Xuanyuan Battery had demonstrated technical advantages comprehensively surpassing the new national standards: the vibration test duration reached twice the upper limit specified by the national standard; the environmental protection performance passed a 960-hour salt spray test; and the protection level reached IP68, fully verifying the technical leadership of the Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group in the field of power battery safety.
