On August 1, a light truck equipped with remote photovoltaic intelligent high and low voltage charging technology was unveiled. This Xingzhi photovoltaic light truck, through its innovative patented technology, overcomes industry challenges by achieving intelligent high and low voltage power supply for the entire vehicle through photovoltaic power generation. This marks a new route for low-carbon green new energy development. Additionally, the remote commercial vehicle offers a full life-cycle solution for the photovoltaic light truck, further leading the technological innovation in new energy commercial vehicles.

China enjoys abundant sunlight across 76% of its territory, with relatively uniform distribution, positioning its photovoltaic industry at the top globally. The photovoltaic industry, being a significant source of renewable energy, can reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, aligning with China’s “3060” dual carbon goal and green sustainable development strategy. The maturity of the photovoltaic industry and the reduction in system costs have made the mass production of “photovoltaic + vehicles” integration a reality.
Photovoltaic vehicles are not a new concept and have seen applications in the automotive industry. However, two major pain points have persisted:
- Photovoltaic power generation has only managed to supplement low-voltage electrical systems, resulting in insufficient utilization of solar power and very low overall vehicle efficiency.
- The photovoltaic systems used have borrowed industrial-grade products from the photovoltaic industry rather than automotive-grade ones, leading to issues such as poor safety, low reliability, and low energy conversion efficiency.
Despite these pain points, opportunities abound. The photovoltaic industry has matured, and since early 2023, photovoltaic component prices have been steadily declining, dropping by 50% over the past year. This presents an opportune moment for vehicle applications of photovoltaic technology.

The Xingzhi photovoltaic light truck overcomes six major technical bottlenecks, making the entire vehicle’s photovoltaic system safe, reliable, efficient, and intelligent.
- Industry-first patented technology for intelligent high and low voltage charging, solving the problem of low solar power utilization and ensuring the vehicle never runs out of power.
- Independently developed automotive-grade chip photovoltaic controller, achieving the industry’s highest boost ratio of 600V.
- Highly efficient BC photovoltaic modules with a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 22.5%.
- Full-stack vehicle energy management with intelligent switching between high and low voltage charging, reaching a photovoltaic system efficiency of 95%. When there is a surplus in photovoltaic power generation, it is intelligently distributed and stored in both high and low voltage batteries to maximize the use of solar energy.
- Safe voltage for human contact, with photovoltaic power generation voltage ranging from 25-55V and high voltage electrical safety isolation by the photovoltaic controller.
- Customized photovoltaic panels for light trucks, with a single-sided top panel generating up to 1700W of power, ensuring worry-free electricity usage.
The currently installed remote photovoltaic system is already the second-generation product, which is more mature and efficient than its predecessor. The photovoltaic power generation information is integrated into the vehicle dashboard, making it user-friendly upon installation. Additionally, remote provides dedicated financial solutions for the photovoltaic system, combined with remanufacturing and reuse, to maximize the system’s lifespan. This photovoltaic system has vast application scenarios and will be used in more remote models in the future, such as vans, buses, small micro trucks, and specialized vehicles. The usage scenarios are also diverse, including cold chain transportation, RV camping, mobile vending, and more.
As an industry leader, Remote will continue to adhere to its principles of technological advancement, ecological development, and value creation, persistently exploring technological potential to provide more solutions for achieving global zero-carbon land transportation dreams.
