At 11:30 a.m. on May 28, FAW Jiefang’s J7 Intelligent Factory reached a significant milestone with the official rollout of its 10,000th vehicle of 2024, five months ahead of last year’s schedule.
This year, amid complex and fierce market competition, FAW Jiefang accurately assessed the situation and focused on customer value and pain points. They launched the J7 Natural Gas Series, centered on the J7 Pioneer Edition CA6SX1 tractor, featuring robust core power, extreme fuel-saving technology, stable performance, comfortable driving experience, and reliable service assurance. These products have been highly favored by commercial vehicle users. Additionally, to deeply understand user needs and improve user experience, FAW Jiefang conducted differentiated market visits, research, and promotion activities in various regions. They worked tirelessly to secure customer orders and developed high-standard, exclusive service policies around the customer’s selection, purchase, use, management, repair, and replacement pain points, creating warm and touching service experiences.
In overseas markets, the J7 has also performed remarkably well. Its technological innovation, efficient operation, excellent safety performance, high comfort, and energy efficiency have earned it recognition and favor abroad. From January to May, over 7,000 units were exported to countries like Peru, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. To alleviate overseas customers’ concerns about purchasing, FAW Jiefang continually improved channel construction and service assurance. In terms of channels, they enhanced stability and efficiency through a series of strategies including expanding, strengthening, optimizing, and beautifying the network. On the service front, they dispatched experienced and skilled after-sales service teams to frontline overseas locations, committed to providing timely, efficient, and high-quality service support to ensure users enjoy worry-free after-sales service with J7 products.
Behind the strong sales figures is robust production line support. During peak production periods, FAW Jiefang planned ahead, focused on bottleneck resources, and strengthened production-sales coordination to advance scientific scheduling. Regarding material supply, they established an information feedback mechanism with morning briefings, noon feedback, and evening summaries to quickly resolve issues. In terms of equipment assurance, they minimized downtime with quick response measures, contingency plans, dedicated personnel on standby, and workshop inspections to ensure timely equipment fault handling and continuous process equipment optimization and improvement. For risk
management, they conducted emergency drills considering the extensive digital and intelligent equipment at the J7 factory. They identified risk points at stations such as gluing, tire, and VIN stamping, formulated contingency plans, and prepared personnel, tools, and standard operating procedures to ensure stable production.
Despite the high-intensity production pressure, the dedicated FAW Jiefang workforce maintained a spirit of urgency and efficiency. They continually learned new knowledge and skills to adapt to the rapidly evolving smart manufacturing demands. Their teamwork and mutual support enabled them to overcome numerous production challenges, working overtime and continuously to set a new single-shift production record of 130 complete vehicles.
